Chapter 2

Welcome to Chapter 2 - I am going to try and keep the author intros short as not much really to say - so enjoy!!

Annabeth's POV;

I arrived to the meeting room early but it turns out I wasn't the only one, when I walked in the room I noticed I was the last one to arrive.

"Now we are all here we might as well start this meeting. I have made the decision that I will be accompanying you on this quest to retrieve Percy." Chiron stated.

I was shocked, Chiron had never volunteered to come on a quest before, "Why do you need to come?" I stuttered out.

"Well I have been thinking the prophecy over and the line Restart from the beginning will guide your way made me think of how me and Percy first met. I posed as a teacher in his school and gave him RIPTIDE when he need it, I believe in someway this needs to happen again." He explained.

"But how, RIPTIDE is with Percy and has been since he left." Nico asked.

"That is not the case, soon after Percy jumped this returned to my pocket and has not left me since." Chiron explained while producing RIPTIDE and laying it on the table.

"We think that as Percy no longer sees himself as Percy Jackson the sword no longer recognises its owner." Poseidon explained.

I was confused by this sentence, "Why who does Percy see himself as?" I asked

"We will explain that only to those who are going on the request to return him to his rightful home. We have already decided that Chiron, Blackjack, Annabeth, Nico, Piper, Thalia, Will are going from Camp Half Blood and Jason, Hazel and Frank are going from Camp Jupiter." Hades explained.

I nodded with the decision that had been made and knew right away we would need to take the Argo III so we have enough room for everyone. I noticed those who hadn't been chosen had already left the room so only left the quest members with the Gods.

"Artemis, The Hunters of Artemis and Poseidon will also be accompanying you but will only make themselves known when the time is right." Zeus added.

I was surprised at such a large number had been chosen as there was more danger for us to travel in larger groups and that Gods and The Hunters would be also present.

"Now its confirmed who is coming can you please answer my question. who does Percy see himself as?" I ask again with a bit more authority in my tone.

"He goes by Stiles Stilinski, he is the Sheriff's son and is best friend's with the True Alpha. He has no memory of his time with ourselves and everyone believes he has lived in Beacon Hills his entire life" Poseidon answers.

"Please go pack, we will be leaving for Camp Jupiter in ten minutes as this is the quickest way to get to Percy." Chiron announced.

I ran out of the room before I could be stopped as I didn't want anyone to see me breakdown, I was the leader and I need to be strong even though my heart was breaking.

Stiles POV

I know this guilt would never leave me, no matter how many times Scott or my Dad says it wasn't my fault but I could still remember everything that happened during that time, Alison and Aiden's deaths, Coach been shot with an arrow, all of those hurt or killed at the Hospital or in the Sheriff's department when the bomb had gone off.

Today was going to be a hard day, I had to visit the hospital so Melissa could give me a full check over as it had been a week since Void had left and everyone wanted to check I was okay, also the MRI machine was fixed so they wanted to repeat the scans.
