Chapter 12

Welcome to Chapter 12 - yep another update you have been treated too - sorry for the delay in adding these in, I am editing as I upload the chapters - here is the next one, enjoy!!

Stiles POV

I walked back into the waiting room where Dad, Melissa, Scott, Lydia and Deaton were either stood or sat in shock at what had just happen also from the unexpected bath they had just all just received.

"Oh sorry, I  didn't mean to wet you guys at the same time. Here, let me clear this water up and dry you off." I state swiping my hand through the air drawing all the water from their clothes and hair along with the water that had gathered on the floor.

Once I was done I noticed they were all staring at me which was making me feel very uneasy, I tried to ignore it and gathered up my belonging from the other room and checking the water bandage on my arm. Dang it another scar to add to my never ending collection, as I walked back into the room it looked as though the others had frozen in there space.

"Well are you coming, we have to get back to school." I enquire towards Lydia and Scott and notice the confused look appearing on everyone's face.

"Stiles, you don't need to go to school. You have just been a massive trauma, you need time to rest and recover properly." Melissa stated and I just shook my head.

"The perks of been who I truly am, a bit of nectar, a bit of ambrosia and a bath of water and I am back to normal." I advise adjusting the straps on my bag.

"Stiles, you did nearly just die again. I am sure Chiron can let them know that you would not be returning today." Dad stated and I was starting to get annoyed now.

"Right now all I want to do is try and be a normal teenager, is that too hard for everyone to grasp?" I snap out as I feel the stress of today weighing on me and I knew I needed to go speak with Chiron.

"So Lydia and Scott are you coming or not? Thank you for your help Deaton and Melissa. Dad I will see you at home later." I state as I walk out the door heading towards my jeep not waiting for them to answer.

I heard running behind me and noticed Scott and Lydia heading in my direction. "Are you sure that going to school is the right decision, you just almost died. I think they will understand if you take the rest of the day off." Scott states as they reach me and is sounding a lot like my Dad and his Mum.

"As I have already advised, I'm fine thank you. I have missed enough school as it is and I need to have a word with Mr Brunner anyway." I explain getting into the jeep and I am quickly followed inside it by Scott and Lydia.

The entire drive to school Lydia and Scott tried asking me questions but I shot them down at every chance  as I wasn't ready to talk about anything yet. I needed  time to process what had happened, but why are they here? As soon as we got to the school I  left Lydia and Scott at the jeep and headed towards his classroom hoping he didn't currently have a class present.

As I entered the room his back was to me so he didn't see who had arrived but spoke anyway, "I have been expecting your visit since I heard you were awake and decided to return to school today." Mr Brunner states while turning around to face me with a caring smile on his face.

"Chiron, what are you all doing here? I made myself very clear that I would be back but Percy Jackson was dead. Why are you all ruining my life here?" I shout at my former mentor as I felt the anger building up inside me again.

"I am sorry Percy but as much as you can try and deny who you truly are, there are people that still need you to be there hero, leader, brother, fiancé and friend. We are not here to change anything you have built or destroy any friendships you have made but your family need you now more than ever." Chiron stated in his teacher tone like he was scolding me over my behaviour.

"That is a low blow Chiron, using my fatal flaw against me. I would do everything in my power to protect those I love and care about, I thought you of all people would know that. Do you know how much it killed me when Alison and Aiden died due to me not been strong enough to fight him?" I state as I feel tears threating to leave my eyes.

Before he could answer the whole room started to shake as an explosion happened outside, I looked out the window and saw cars overturned and trees on fire. I guess my time has ran out been able to run away from my life and responsibilities.

"Perseus Jackson, come and face me you coward or will you continue to hide behind this mask of a weak human you portray." "His voice rumbled through the quite school knowing everyone had heard him. I looked at Chiron who threw my camp necklace and Riptide in my direction knowing what I was about to do.

As I left the classroom I placed the necklace around my neck and headed outside to face him, every fibre of my been was wanting me to run and hide but I was done hiding, this was my battle, my fight and no one else was going to get hurt because of me. As I came face to face with him, I tugged twice on the Trident bead from my first year at camp and my full battle armour appeared over my body as I opened up Riptide to its full length.
