Chapter 17

Scott POV

Wow my best friend has blew up a mountain and survived to tell the tale, I was finding it hard to believe that the person we were talking about is the same person as I knew.

"Okay, firstly how did he blow up the mountain and secondly how on earth did he survive to tell the tale?" I asked hoping to understand how this was even possible.

"On the screens I watched as Percy was surrounded by these creatures that had over taken the Forge, they stated they could smell the sea in his blood so started to throw lava at him which landed on his skin and clothes but due to the sea running through his veins it protected him to an extent." Annabeth explained.

"After a few hits the pain seem to get to much and water came bursting from everywhere and crashed into the lava which shot him high into the sky. I returned back to Camp alone to inform them on what had happened, after hours of no news from the Gods or sign of him we decided to declare him officially dead and decided to hold a funeral for him. When I was making a speech, I looked up and spotted him walking towards us like nothing had happened." She explained as tears ran down her face remembering this time.

"Where had he been during that time?" Sheriff asked as he wiped a tear away hearing what had happened to his son.

"He was sent to Ogygia, this is where he remained until he had fully recovered from his injuries and then made the decision to return home." Zeus stated but wouldn't give any more details then that.

Annabeth then continued to explain what Percy had found out during his time away, what had happened during there journey through the Labyrinth, Percy's battle with another half brother and the Battle of the Labyrinth that had taken place at the Camp. I could tell by the way she told the story this was a difficult fight for them all with many lives lost. She then explained about what Percy had told her about what had happened aboard the Princess Andromeda and then Poseidon explained the conversation he had with Percy after he had recovered from his injuries in his palace under the sea.

"So what was the Great Prophecy that you advised Percy it was time for him to know?" I ask wanting to know what had caused all this heart ache to my brother.

Apollo stepped forwarded and said

"A half-blood of the eldest gods

Shall reach sixteen against all odds

And see the world in endless sleep

The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap

A single choice shall end his days

Olympus to preserve or raze"

When he finished, I regretted even asking as somehow it had made me feel worse knowing Percy was going into a war with the strong possibility that he may not even live past his sixteen birthday.

"So after hearing this Percy had decided to go through with Nico's plan for Percy to survive by bearing the Curse of Achilles which was a great plan but of course it did come with some draw backs, Percy had a spot where he was vulnerable and if he has injured there it would kill him instantly, also due to the curse he required more rest as he would use a lot more power then sometimes his own body couldn't handle." Annabeth continued from where she had left off.

"When the war started we were fighting side by side as normal and I just had this feeling that Percy was in danger, so I dived in front of him and took a blade for him. From what I found out later Percy became so enraged that I was injured that he split the bridge he was standing on in half too by us some time. He came to visit me to thank me for saving his life, the spot that the blade would have been hit would have killed him."

"During the final stages of the war Percy battled Kronos himself in the Hall of Gods to stop him from destroying the Olympians Thrones as it would have caused them to lose there power. A young lost demigod called Ethan who was on Kronos side was asked by him to kill Percy as he had worked out where the fatal spot was but Percy managed to talk him down and convinced him to help us. Unfortunately, he was killed falling from Olympus but his sacrifice helped us to win the war."

"After the war and the Olympians had returned to there thrones we were all offered rewards for our roles within the war, I personally was offered a dream opportunity to be the Official Architect of Olympus as it needed repairing and Percy was offered the chance to before a God but he refused and asks for a request instead that the Gods claim their children by the age of thirteen and that all the Minor Gods and Hades had a Cabin at Camp for their children to be welcome. Once we arrived back at Camp, Percy officially asked me out after admitting he turned down the chance to be a God because he didn't want to leave me. Then he went missing and I didn't find him for six months, turns out the Seaweed Brain had been part of a forced exchanged programme and had his memories wiped and only remembered my name." Annabeth continuing her story seeming to be lost in the memories of it all.

We all decided to quickly take a break before Annabeth with the help of Frank and Hazel would explain what happened during Percy during his time away. I decided to use this time to check in on everyone outside the circle. They all seemed to be given off a mix range of emotions from shock to pride to sadness.

Once we gathered again in the circle Annabeth along with Hazel and Frank explained what had taken place while he had no memory, I was shocked to hear how stupid he had been with the Gorgon blood and how he stabbed an entire side of a Glacier causing it crumble with him stood on top of it.

I couldn't help but chuckle when I heard his reaction when they had returned to find him stood waiting for them to return. Annabeth briefly explained about her own quest and how Percy and the others had arrived at the last moment to help save the statue but then explained about what had taken place as Percy and Annabeth hung over the hole to Tartarus.

"I think for this final part it will be easier for us to show you what happened as we are aware at how difficult this time was. Iris please accept these offerings and show us everything that happened from when Percy and Annabeth landed in Tartarus and finish just before Percy proposes to Annabeth." Athena explains noticing the clear pain on her daughter's face.

Not a single word was spoke during this entire time, I was certain it was due to no one knowing what to say as they were so surprised, tearful and amazed at everything that had happened during this short time.

I didn't want to watch what they had gone through while in the pit as I knew Stiles was currently in the section that was ten time worse then this visit.

Once the message had shut off and we all took a moment to digest everything we had just witnessed Lydia finally spoke, "How did he propose to you?" she asked and I noticed Annabeth twisting the ring on her wedding finger.

"Well he decided to be the true gentleman as always, first he asked my Dad for his blessing to marry me and then he completed multiple tasks that Mum set him to prove to her that he was worthy of being my husband. After he passed with flying colours, he then had Hephaestus forge a unique ring that shows out connection." Annabeth explained showing us the ring which looks like a simple band but when you look closely it has small images of there adventures together engraved on it.

"He took us to the beach near to Mount Saint Helen, here he had laid out a candle pathway with a table set up for a private meal. He said he wanted to do it near the place where we moved away from been friends and started on an adventure of a life time." She explained as a tear dripped on to the candle in the middle and instead of it going out it seemed to get larger and start moving around the room before settling on the candles placed next to Poseidon, Chiron and Annabeth.

"What's happening?" I ask confused at what I just witnessed.

"His plan is working, Percy has returned to us. Its time for you all to bring Stiles back home now." Athena states starting at the candles in front of her that now seemed to dancing with life as she spoke.
