Chapter 39

Stiles POV

I think the smile I currently have on my face is going to be there for a while, how can I not smile in this moment? I have all these amazing powers that I can use to save and help my friends instead of needing them to help and save me, my Mum is alive once more and reunited with Dad and for once I feel like Batman instead of Robin. Erica would be proud of me!

"Oh hang on a moment, I also forgot one very important detail." I state looking directly into Tartarus's eyes who looks even more furious at me the more I speak.

"What's that boy!" Tartarus snarls at me as though he was trying to scare me, please I have had Sourwolf doing that to me since the first day I met him. Nice try!

"I am your Prince, so you will return back to your pit from once you came and stay there or else." I state while whipping out the sword to match the cloaked figures standing around before stepping forward so I was in perfect line with them.

"Ha, Ha, Ha!! What makes you think I will listen to anything that you say? You are not my Prince and I will not do anything you ask me to." Tartarus retaliates as I notice he is preparing to attack once again.

"I was not asking, this was a command. Warriors, now!!" I order as I lift my sword and slam it down into the ground with all my strength at the same time as the others do also.

The ground shakes roughly again before splitting open to show a fiery pit bubbling below as strong winds start blowing as more of the ground around Tartarus and his army falls away into the pit below. I signal for the Warriors to spread out around the pit to protect anyone from our side accidently falling in or been pulled in as I make my way over the splintering ground towards Tartarus himself ready to end this.

"It is over, you have lost. Return back to where you belong and we may be able to agree for a lighter punishment before you can be asked to re-join the Council." I state looking at the Primordial who's eyes were currently glowing like the fiery pit below.

"Why? Why would you even allow me to re-join after everything I have done?" He asks and I am shocked to hear the tone of regret in his voice.

"I have learnt that everyone is entitled to a second chance no matter what they have done or who they are. We are all in a way capable of great evil and good, we just choose our own destiny." I explain surprising myself with the answer, I guess Scott, Annabeth and Percy are actually rubbing off on me more then I realise.

"I think that is the first thing we have ever agreed on." Tartarus states and I can't help but chuckle at his answer as I turn around to start walking back towards everyone happy with what we had just discussed.

Percy POV

I watch in amazement as Stiles and Tartarus seem to be actually having a proper conversation while I watch Stiles's Warriors finish off the remainder of the army by either pushing them into the pit that had opened or turning them to dust if they were too far away from the edge.

I hear Stiles chuckle before turning around away from Tartarus before starting to walk back towards us, a grin plastered proudly on his face. I am proud of how much he has changed and grown since we became two separate people, he really has accepted everything in his stride that had happened. I look around and notice that we didn't seem to have had a single wounded or killed person which seemed impossible for the length of battle we had just endured.

"Apollo, have you been working overtime in fixing everyone's injuries?" I ask turning towards him and pointing out the fact no one was hurt.

"Nope not me this time, I just thought lady luck was on our side." Apollo stated as I hear a grunt of pain sound out from behind me.
