Ch.41 No Others

GIA'S POV.

I'm at work right now taking care of business as usual and I'm almost off in just an hour and it can't go buy fast enough.

Then there's a knock at my door.

"Yes" I ask.

"You're last appointment is here Gia" the new front desk girl Jenna says.

"Oh okay let her in" I tell her.

A girl that looks about my age comes in.

She has tan skin and short brown hair but can actually rock it.

"Hi nice to meet you I'm Gia" I say to her as I shake her hand.

"Hi I'm Michelle" she says taking a seat.

Then Jenna comes into the room.

"Sorry here" She says handing me clipboard that anyone who has an appointment with me has to fill out.

"Oh thank you" I say and walks out.

"Okay so you are looking for an apartment, 2 bed, around the Palm Springs area?" I ask her as I read the clip board.

"Yes" she says nodding.

"Okay let me just type the information you put down into my computer and see what, I can find for you" I tell her and I do.

"Palm Springs is pretty far why are you going over there?" I ask her just trying to make conversation and shit.

I mean, I technically have to be nice.

"Umm, just trying to get out of the hood with my mom you know?" She says with a friendly smile.

I smile and nod as I continue typing.

I don't think I'd ever leave the hood.

My family and friends are here.

I love it too much.

"Is that your boyfriend?" Jenna asks pointing at a black diamond picture frame that has a picture of me and Daniel in it.

That kind of caught me off guard.

"Um yeah" I say somewhat proudly.

She sucks in her lips and says nothing else.

I scrunch my eyebrows.

"Why?" I ask.

"Oh no reason" she lies.

I can tell she's lying.

I stop typing for a second.

"Come on there has to be a reason" I tell her.

I swear to god if this girl says he's her boyfriend too I will dump and beat Daniels ass.

But at the same time Daniel doesn't seem like that kind of person.

"Um, nothing I just, I used to be with him" she says awkwardly.

I raise my eyebrows.

"And you're still hung up on him or what?" I ask with attitude.

I really hope she's no fuckin' psycho stalker ex girlfriend.

"Oh no no no" she says shaking her head.

"Um, look, I'm not trying to get involved or make you feel some type of way by saying this but, just, be careful" she says quietly.

"Be careful?" I ask kind of annoyed.

She slowly nods.

"Daniel just, has a lot of problems, he can be, vicious you know? I mean all the Blanco's have that side, but, Daniel used to, or I don't know if he still does, had like a horrible drinking problem and some stuff he did he-" she says but I cut her off.
