Ch.25 The Past Will Haunt You

GIA'S POV.

I'm gonna go to Anthony's house to kick it with him and a couple of his friends and brother Sergio.

Kind of a celebration since yesterday was my 18th birthday.

I didn't wanna do anything big since it's only a Thursday but I know my brother and family is gonna surprise me with something big on Saturday.

It's what I need considering all the crap I've been dealing with.

Plus Julissa just had her baby 3 days ago and I have to meet her I love babies.

I start getting ready by straightening my hair and doing my makeup.

I change into blue jean high-waisted shorts, a white tank top, a thin long gray cardigan and gladiator sandals.

When I'm ready I grab my phone and car keys and go down stairs.

"Hey where you going?" Manny asks from the top of the stairs.

"Gunners, I'll be back later" I tell him.

"Alright be careful text me" he says and I walk out to my car.

Ever since Stacy's gone missing he's been extra protective of me.

I drive to Anthony's house and knock on the front door.

He opens it and smiles at me.

"What's up babe" he says as he gives me a hug.

His eyes look low.

"Are you buzzed already?" I ask with a small laugh.

"Yeah a little bit" he slurs with a smile as he let's me in.

I instantly hear a baby's cry.

"Where's Julissa?" I ask him.

"In her room, go say hi to her then come to Sergio's room" he says.

I nod and walk down the hall to Julissa's room.

"Knock knock" I say going in since her door is already open.

I see her sitting on her bed holding a tiny baby feeding her.

"Oh hi!" she says with a big smile.

"Come sit" she says patting on the other side of her bed.

"Oh my god she is so cute!" I say looking over her as I sit.

"This is Destiny" she says carefully taking the bottle out of her mouth since she's knocked out now.

"You wanna hold her?" She asks. "Yes duh!" She says as she hands her to me.

She's swaddled in a baby pink blanket with a big white bow headband on.

"She is so tiny! How much did she weigh?" I ask her.

"7 pounds 5 ounces" she says. "Oh she's tiny" I say with a small laugh.

For the next 10-15 minutes we talk about her labor and how she's been and all of that.

Then I go to Sergio's room like Anthony told me.

When I go in Sergio's room is huge like Anthony's.

I see Gio, Chuy, and Ghost.

"Here" Anthony says as he pulls up a chair for me to sit and hands me a beer.

"Oh aye happy birthday G" Sergio tells me.

"Thanks" I say with a smile as Anthony's homies tell me the same thing.
