Ch.49 Bump In The Road

GIA'S POV.

Today is Gabby's baby shower.

She's due in just 2-3 months and I couldn't be more excited.

Her and Manny decided on a name also, Noah James Enriquez.

At first she didn't wanna give the baby Manny's last name but since they're on good terms now she changed her mind.

I'm worried it might be a little awkward though cause they're not together and of course Gabby's family is gonna be there, and she also invited our family.

So I guess we'll see how it goes.

My tio Carlos, Yvette, Danny, Jackie, and my cousins are all gonna go together.

So I start getting ready.

I shower then blow dry my hair and curl it into thick full curls and do my makeup.

Then I change into a pinkish Rosie nude colored tank top, blue skinny jeans, and nude colored sandals with gold spiked studs on them.

When I'm done I go out my room and across to Manny's room and knock on the door.

"You ready?" I ask him.

"Yeah" he says tying the shoelaces on his black and white Jordan's.

He looks nice.

He's wearing a blue, white, and black flannel that's short sleeved, black jeans, and a SnapBack.

I think it's cute that he's wearing some type of blue since he's having a boy.

"I'm gonna leave right now in my car to get there a little early so you stay here and wait tio Carlos is gonna come pick you up" he tells me.

"Alright then I'll see you there" I say then go downstairs and sit on the couch and turn on the tv.

I text Daniel and ask if he's still going to meet me at the baby shower but he said no he has to work tonight.

So I guess it's just me and my girls.

Shy, Yessi, and Mickey are gonna be there.

"See you later" Manny says then goes out the door.

I know theres gonna be food at the baby shower but I grab a bag of hot Cheetos and snack on that for now.

30 minutes later I hear a honk outside.

I put my phone in my pocket and go outside and see tio Carlos's car stopped in the street waiting for me and Danny's car behind him.

I walk up to Carlos's car and get in saying hi to everyone.

"You know where the baby showers at mija?" My Tia Yvette asks.

"Yeah it's on ave. 47 across the street from some apartments" I tell them and she nods.

"When are you gonna have your baby shower Giselle?" I ask her.

She's due in July and it's already the beginning of May so I figure it should be soon.

"July 1st" she says with a smile.

I scrunch my eyebrows.

"But you're due July 25?" I say.

"She says she has a feeling the baby will be late" Jada says rolling her eyes and I laugh.

"I do! I think he's gonna be big so I think that's gonna make him come late" she adds.

I shrug and smile.
