GIA'S POV.
Last night was an amazing blur. I guess it means me and Gunner are together now. I don't usually start my relationships with having an after party sex session but we were drunk and it happened.
I really like him. A lot. But I still don't really know what his intentions are. I could just be a fuck.
But I'm gonna find that out.
He had to leave last night cause he has work this afternoon. Plus he didn't wanna stay the night cause of Manny.
I'm barely waking up and it's like 1 in the afternoon.
I have a mad hangover.
My head is pounding and all I wanna do is eat.
I still have my makeup on from last night so I just brush my hair up into a ponytail then change into some jean shorts and a black and gray Victoria Secret LOVE PINK hoodie and some black flip flops.
I go out my room and it's quiet so Manny must be sleeping still.
I go downstairs and outside to my car.
I drive through this Mexican food place and get a bunch of food cause I know Manny's gonna want some when he gets up.
When I get home I put all the food bags on the table and grab a Coke from the fridge.
When I turn around I see Manny looking like he just woke up coming into the kitchen.
"What did you get?" He asks. "Everything" I say as I sit down at the table.
"Thanks baby sister" he says teasingly as he walks over to the fridge.
"What time did you-" he starts as he sits down but he stops. "What?" I ask as I notice him just staring at me.
"What the fuck is that??" He asks pointing at my neck.
I quickly grab my phone and look at my reflection.
Holy shit it's a hickey at the bottom of my neck. FUCK FUCK FUCK.
I didn't even see or notice it!
"Um-" I start but he cuts me off. "Who the fuck gave you that?!" He asks now in complete protective big brother mode.
"Nobody Manny!" I tell him.
"Alright look, we need to talk about some things" he tells me.
"I know, obviously, you, you have, sex" he starts awkwardly.
"But I know you were pregnant once, and I don't want you to go through something like that again, SO, I think I need to lay down some rule" he tells me.
I smack my lips.
"Rules what the fuck??" I reply. "YES Gia rules, this may be our house but you're still only 17 years old, we don't have the normal whole normal mom and dad supervision so that's my job now" he says.
I sigh and nod in understanding.
"My biggest things is guys" he says. I roll my eyes.
"I know I bring females sometimes but that's different, you can't bring guys into your room and shit alright? And if, you have a boyfriend or some shit, you have to tell me" he says.
I suck in my lips as my thoughts lead me to Anthony.
"And you know, after that whole thing with that foo Ricky, you need to learn how to watch yourself or I'll do it myself, the other day I found out he was arrested" he tells me.
I look at him. "For what?" I ask.
"He was in the car with another female, he was drunk and they starting fighting so he grabbed a baseball bat from his backseat and punched her in the head with it, then through her out the car" he says.
I raise my eyebrows. That's definitely something Ricky would do. So I'm not surprised.
"You do know that could've been you right?" He says.
"Yes I do, why do you think I left him?" I ask rolling my eyes.
"Good I know, just-" he says but I cut him off.
"Okay, I get it, no boys, no sex in the house" I tell him. He awkwardly smiles and nods.
"Now shut up and eat" I tell him.
We continue eating and I go upstairs to shower.
I put on some comfortable clothes and decide to just relax.
It feels good to just lay in bed all day watching movies.
I don't get to do that very often.
The sun starts to set so I decide to go downstairs to start cooking dinner.
I ALWAYS cook dinner for me and Manny unless we go out to eat.
But I don't mind. I love to cook and he, well, he loves to eat.
As I get to the bottom of the stairs I see Manny come through the front door.
"Hey what do you-" I begin to say.
"Um I was just kicking it with the homies, and um, one of them said that they fucking saw you leaving with Gunner" he interrupts me.
I freeze in shock. SHIT.
"Please tell me they're just talking shit or something" he says. I sigh and just go into the kitchen.
"Gia!" He says following me. I can tell he is PISSED right now. "I didn't, leave with Gunner" I tell him.
I'm probably the worlds worst liar.
"Don't bullshit me Gia, is he the one that have you that fucking hickey?!" He asks.
"Manny why is it any of your business anyways??" I ask him.
"Are you serious?? Cause he's MY HOMIE Gia! He's one of the leaders of the Avenues! I already fucking told you to stay away from our gangs leaders!" He yells at me.
"You can't tell me who I can and can't talk to! I understand your rules and shit but if I wanna talk to him then, I am" I tell him.
He smacks his lips.
"Come on Gia seriously?? Out of all the fucking guys HIM? Did you, do it-" he says but I don't even want him to finish that sentence.
"Oh my god okay I'm done with this conversation" I say going into the kitchen and he just leaves me alone.
I know it's wrong to be with Gunner, but it feels so right.
I get what Manny is trying to say though.
Being with a guy like him, especially in our gang, is no joke. You worry more than you smile.
Manny goes back outside to continue kicking it with his homies and I start making dinner.
I make arroz con pollo (rice and chicken) with a salad on the side.
When I'm done Manny is still outside so I just make a plate an eat by myself.
Half way through eating Manny comes in.
"Foods on the stove" I tell him. He nods and grabs a plate and sits down with me.
"So um, is, Gunner like, your man now or what?" he asks awkwardly. I can tell he's trying to be understanding and not get angry.
"Um, yeah, he is" I reply just as awkward. "Since when though??" He asks.
I know he's shocked me and him are together.
"Um, not long" I simply tell him.
He sighs.
"Look, I can't stop you from dating anybody, but just cause I'm, somewhat okay with it doesn't mean Danny and Carlos will be" he tells me.
"Well, I guess we'll find out" I reply.
Once everyone in the hood finds out, they will be JUST as shocked and surprised as Manny was. Or even more.
