GIA'S POV.
I'm sitting at my vanity in my room doing my makeup starting to get ready.
Me and AJ are gonna go out to eat.
Not like a date or anything so don't get shit twisted.
Before Manny came back AJ was always like an older brother to me and still is.
We've both been needing shit to talk about so we decided to meet up.
I straighten my hair and then change.
I put on a half sleeve burgundy shirt that exposes half of my bear back, blue high waisted skinny jeans, and sandals with gold spikes on them.
Then my phone starts ringing.
"Hello?" I answer as I grab my black Michael Kors purse.
"Yo is this Gia?" I deep male voice asks.
I scrunch my eyebrows.
"Um, yeah who's this?" I ask back.
"Cesar, your moms called me, said you're gonna give me the G's" he says.
"Oh um yeah yeah" I say awkwardly caught off guard.
I had forgotten this guy Cesar was supposed to call me.
"Can you meet me right now" he says.
"Um-" I start, checking the time.
"Yeah, where?" I ask him.
"Avenue 50 and Meridian, next to the empty lot, I'll be parked there" he says.
I raise an eyebrow.
What kind of lawyer is this?
"Uh, okay yeah sure I'll be there in 10 minutes" I tell him.
"Alright" he says then hangs up.
I walk over to my dresser and open one of the drawers.
I grab the envelope that has the 10 thousand dollars cash in it and put it in my purse.
I go downstairs and outside to my car.
Manny and I haven't talked about my mom or the money or anything ever since he took me to visit her.
He stands where he stands and he ain't moving.
I drive to the street and park in the middle so I can just walk down to the empty lot.
I get out of my car with my purse and walk.
I walk kind of slow looking into the cars.
4 cars down I get to a white truck and there's 2 guys sitting in there.
"You Cesar?" I ask.
He looks like every other cholo around here.
"Yeah, you Gia?" He asks back.
I purse my lips and nod.
"Well step into my office" he says gesturing inside his car.
I look in.
"I'm not getting in there" I tell him.
He smiles and laughs.
"Step out G" he tells his friend.
"What??" His friend says annoyed.
"Go, kick rocks, move man come on" Cesar tells him.
His friend smacks his lips and gets out the truck.
