The Empire in a Good Way: Part 2

          Obi-Wan x Reader

   The downfall of Chancellor Palpatine, and the liberation, of well the universe. It had caused alot of trouble throughout the galaxy, but thanks to the group that was created you all came up with a solution. The civil unrest and the confusion of the people was almost shocking. Noone knew of anything bad that the Chancellor had been up to, so when the proof and information came out it was a shock to everyone. His execution was made a public spectacle by demand of the people. The Senate all but shattered after the corruption was revealed. Noone really knew who to trust or what to do after that so the Senate crumbled. A government was desperately needed, but noone could agree on what kind of government. Which led to where you were now.
   "I believe the systems need a firm hand. Someone that they can look to for aid, and not feel trapped." Padme spoke up from her chair in the former Council chamber.
   "No." Everyone looked to Anakin who had been all but silent up until now. "They need structure. They need to learn to beable to lean on a government that can help them learn to stand on their own. The Senate did almost no good with any situation handed to them. Naboo almost fell into Seperatist hands due to that. Many other systems suffered the same fate. It's time to make up for their mistakes. It's time for us to step up into a position that we might not be ready for, but it's the only chance alot of systems have." He crossed his legs and leaned back in his chair and brought his hand to his chin in thought.
   "Like what kind of Government?" Ahsoka spoke up from the seat across from him.
   "Like an Empire. The systems come to us for assistance and advice, not to argue what's best for their planet. This might just be the only way to establish some structure back into the galaxy without choking the independent systems into submission." Anakin leaned forward onto his knees looking to everyone else for opinions.
   "Hmm. Maybe you're not as lost of a cause as I thought you were." Kaataa spoke up from her seat. "You are however forgetting one important detail. An Empire requires an Emperor or Empress. None of us are ready to take on that kind of leadership, Master Skywalker."
   "Maybe it's not that one of us should be the only voice. We work together lean on eachother, and set an example for our followers. Don't preach what you don't practice." He looked to everyone for thoughts.
   "Work, this could. Someone to take the throne, there should be. Any volunteers, are there?" Master Yoda looked between everyone, and everyone shrunk back into their chair. Unsure of what to think of a life on the throne.
   "Might I suggest something? This is Anakins idea, and with having Padme and I by his side? It should work. A house of advisors alongside a leader with a strong voice. I would also suggest that Senator Bail Organa be brought into the house as well. His insight would be invaluable." Obi-Wan crossed his arms as he finished. Everyone nodded in agreement.
   "I- I didn't... I'm not sure if I would be fit for that kind of position. With what I did, I don't deserve it." He looked down.
   "Nonsense Anakin! Out of every suggestion today yours is the only one that could work!" You spoke up almost startling Obi-Wan who sat next to you.
   "Exactly. I agree with your sister. You have had your ups and downs, but that doesn't change that you could be better than your past mistakes. If there's anything everyone in this room has taught me is that your past doesn't define you. Only the actions that you take today are what matters. You step up and take this position you would have Padme, Bail, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Ahsoka, Me, AND your sister. This is your chance to prove that you are better than what you have been. Make a better life for your children and for your wife. If not for everyone else please do it for them?" Kaataa said to him, and he looked completely shocked. Everyone was, seeing as how she was the one leading the Anti-Anakin campaign. He stood up as she did they held eye contact for a moment. She bowed before him and Padme laying her weapon infront of her. "As a Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order I pledge myself as protection to the throne and its heirs. I lay my life with you my Emperor."
   "As do I." Ahsoka followed suit, and soon everyone had followed these actions. They all looked to you. You removed your weapon from your belt smiling at your brother.
   "I lay my life with you my Emperor." You bowed before them as well.

          16 Years Later

   The people had responded very well to the Empire. Many systems flocked to it as soon as it rose up. Every planet that joined flourished under its new leadership. Today was not a day to think about the past though. Today was the 16th birthday of your Niece and Nephew, and so far they were in for a treat. Their favorite thing was to hear about the stories you and many others carried about the war. It wasn't all bad you know.
   "There was a mission when your father and General Rex were sent off together. They had been pinned down and chased into a cave when the tunnel entrance collapsed on them. General Cody and I alongside Obi-Wan had spent days trying to get to them. When we finally did they were in the most exposed position you could ever be in!" She pulled out a holo and turned it on. There in all its glory was a picture of a naked Anakin and Rex sharing body warmth under Anakins cloak. I laughed as I looked at it. "The cave they got trapped in had reached bellow 20 degrees during in the night. Poor Rex was close to getting hypothermia, and Anakin has always been a space heater." You laughed at Kaataa's story.
   "How have they not confiscated this from you yet Kaataa?" You said while laughing.
   "They don't know I have it still." We heard a throat clear behind us.
   "Until now." You turned to see Anakin and Rex. Anakin held his hand out to Kaataa. She sighed and handed it over reluctantly.
   "Buzz kill. Oh Anakin I do need to tell you one thing about the twins birthday this evening. Its just a few minor details I wanted to confirm with you before Padme and I executed them." Anakin nodded and followed her away from the table on the patio. You started telling them about the time that you and Padme pranked Anakin by continuously replacing his lightsaber with miscellaneous items. The door behind you opened, and you heard Anakin talking to Obi-Wan. You had married 5 years after the start of the Empire, and you had a daughter together.
   "How is my little niece this morning? You slept in kind of late I thought you were just going to sleep all day. Your 8 year old giggled.
   "And miss cake? Not a chance Ani! I missed you while you were away!" You smiled at your little family.
   "Ani I actually have a surprise for you." You pulled out a pregnancy test. "Obi-Wan and I are expecting another little one. You are going to have another family member running around here!" You said excitedly.
