           Commander Sato x Reader

For 23 years you lived a good married life to Jun Sato. Marrying when you were quite young at 18 and he was 20. You produced 3 children throughout your marriage all of which are of age by now. Your oldest, Aiden age 23, commands his own Rebel cell out of the Gioban System. Your second, Alexander age 22, ran a successful business(which was also a front to steal goods for the rebellion). Your youngest, Hazel age 20, was a part of Pheonix Squadron with you and your Husband. Here recently however you had taken quite a liking to Ezra Bridger, and contemplated on adopting him.

1 Week to the Attack on Lothal

"If you come from this way it should provide you cover for the attack. Whatever you do don't come from here, because it might look like good cover but it opens wide here." Ezra stood gesturing to the holomap of Capital City for Lothal. You nodded along to what he said while you wrote things down. You smiled at Ezra. For the entire time you had known him he was growing up so well.
"Okay well from what I understand, Captain Syndulla had a mission for the Ghost Crew." Sato said to them and nodded in Hera's direction. The two of you started to walk away from the group finalizing your notes.
"I wish he would've accepted our offer to adopt him. He's such a bright boy, and so good at what he does. He needs parents." You looked to Jun who smiled at you as both of you stopped moving. He turned you to look at the group going over mission details.
"He has parents. He has a family. He is going to be fine through this. If anything you have been like a Mother to Hera and Kanan. So I guess you could say he's like your grandchild." He put his arms around you from behind, and you held his arms. Suddenly Ezra started to act erratic and you and Jun approached the table again.
"Ezra this is your mission. I need your complete focus on this." Ezra shook his head to clear it and tried to refocus. Once again he starts looking around frantically, then he collapsed onto the table. The events of the days following were heartbreaking. Ezra ran off to find Master Kenobi and Kanan and Hera were worried sick. He came back in a Mandalorian ship a couple days later and covered in sand. Today we received a transmission from Fulcrum telling us that Thrawn knows.
"Everyone to your battle stations! He meant Thrawn knows our location." Hera said as she and several others started running to their respective areas. I boarded Jun's ship with him. I was only really good at delivering his commands, or jotting down his ideas for attack formations. I could fight in hand to hand combat, but not in aerial combat. I ran up to the bridge with him and started giving orders that Jun had asked me to. Two Interdictor class cruisers were mixed in with the others. The Chimera sticking out like a sore thumb from the rest.
"Jun I have a bad feeling about this." He turned and smiled lightly at you. At the start of it, it's all just stancing. Both sides getting their cruisers to the correct positions. General Dodonna decides to send off his cruisers, and we didn't have time to warn him about the Interdictors. The ship that took off was pulled out of hyperspace and destroyed. Which then started the entire battle we watched many people die as their ships were destroyed. Both sides suffering heavy casualties in the dogfight.
"I can't find an opening! There's too many of them, and those Interdictors aren't helping." You watched Jun start thinking about all of the loss knowing exactly what he was thinking.
"Ezra go to heading 221 and prepare to jump!" He turned solemnly to everyone else. "Everyone abandon ship! That means you too, (Y/n)." You shook your head and planted your feet. He grabbed your shoulders. "You know what I am about to do my love. I don't want you to go down with me." You cupped his cheek.
"I refuse to let you go down alone, love. I am staying here with you whether you like it or not." He sighed and took you into his side. "I love you Jun." He smiled and kissed your cheek.
"I love you too, (Y/n)." We turned to the only two crew members left on the bridge.
"We're with you Commander." He nodded and they sat down, and the two.of you stood behind them. Slowly the carrier started to raise in altitude and towards the capital ship, Chimera. You held onto Jun with both arms now, and he held you close with the one that wasn't holding the back of the chair.
"Wait... Wait... Now!" The boys turned the steering for the ship to go directly into the Interdictor that left formation. The last thing you remember hearing is Jun's rapid heartbeat as the cruisers came into contact. Then nothing. Both of you watched as victory was had over Lothal and the Ghost Crew in its entirety survived. Which was all you could really ask for.
