Why is it Always You? Pt.2

   "Alexsandr!" You squeaked as he picked you up in a hug. You had just gotten back from a mission with Kanan and Ezra. You hadn't beenable to make any contact for 3 days, and it obviously had him in edge.

   "Why are you two so sickeningly cute?" Ezra asked as he passed you. You reached out and smacked the back of his head.

   "Be nice... Both of you." Kanan said as he walked by. You turned away from them, and laid your forehead against his in a keldable kiss.

   "You kind of scared me, love." Kallus said while he set you down.

   "Well we didn't really have the option of communicating. It would've given away our position. I'm sorry." You said as you wrapped your arms around his waist.

   "I'm not mad. I was just worried." Kallus said as he cupped your cheek softly. He leant down and kissed you, and you smiled into the kiss. You walked through base towards your quarters, holding hands with Kallus.

   "(Y/n)!" You turned at the sound of that voice and raced towards Rex.

   "Rex!" You ran into your brothers open arms, and he gave you a bone crushing hug. "It's good to see you too, Rex."

   "I would stay and chat, but I've been a bit busy." Rex tells you.

   "What do you mean? They sending you out on missions without us?" You ask and he shakes his head.

   "No. I took a page from your book, and met someone." Rex says as he smirks a bit.

   "She's a firecracker that's for sure." Kallus says as he joins your conversation.

   "Well I'll let you get back to her then." You say to him, and he smiles at you.

   "Yeah, and I believe the two of you have a date to be going on." Rex said as he turned and made his exit.

   "I didn't know we were going on a date." You say to Kallus who smiles at your sheepishly.

   "Well I was going to wait to ask you after you were able to settle back in. I have a date planned for the two of us later, if you'll indulge with me?" Kallus asked you and you smiled widely.

   "How could I ever say no to a face like that? When do you want me ready?" You asked him.

   "Whenever you're ready, love." He told you.

   "Well I'm going to take a shower and change then I'll be ready." You said then you took off running to your room. Normally you would've taken your time and greeted everyone, but the time you got to spend with Alexsandr was limited. Moments with just the two of you was rare, and hard to come by. You showered quickly, and put on one of your everyday outfits. Opening your door you make your way to Kallus' room. You knock on the door and moments later he answers.

   "Are yo-" Kallus started but you cut him off.

   "I'm ready!" You stated gleefully and he chuckled as he joined you in the hallway.

   "Then let's go." He said as he took your hand with the hand that wasn't holding his bag. Once you reached the front hangar Kallus stopped you. "Up we go." He said pointing towards the ladder that lead to the catwalks above. He leads you up the ladder, around the catwalks, and your destination was a ledge that looked out over the forest. "So how was the mission really?" He asked as the two of you settled down to eat.

   "Being honest... If Kanan and Ezra don't get me killed, it'll most likely be their recklessness that gets me." You say as you rub your forehead to rid yourself of the oncoming headache. "If it's not Ezra on the verge of dying, then it's Kanan. If it's not either of them it's me, because I'm trying to save both of their stupid asses. All of that aside though, they're both like little brothers to me."

   "You adopt alot of siblings, (Y/n)." Kallus says as he scoots closer to pull you into his side. "You treat everyone fairly, and it's one of the reasons I love you." You smile contentedly as you snuggle into him further, and rest your head on his chest. The sun slowly starts to dip below the horizon, but before it gets too low Kallus pulls away from you. You whine at the loss of warmth, and he chuckles at your displeasure. He lowers himself to one knee next to you. "I once blindly served the Empire. I followed orders, didn't ask questions, and accepted the loneliness of my life. Until I met a wild, staff wielding, curious woman that changed my mindset. Because of you I started questioning everything. Following orders without question was nolonger something I could do. You have changed my life completely, (Y/n). I love you with every fiber of my being, and can't picture my life without you by my side. So will you, (Y/n) Fett, make me the happiest man alive by becoming my wife?" He asks you as he brings out a beautifully simple ring from his jacket pocket. You were smiling like an idiot and tears were spilling down your cheeks uncontrollably.

   "Yes. Yes I'd be the happiest woman in the Galaxy to be your wife Kallus." You said as you pulled him towards you and kissed him with all your might. "I love you too, Alex." He slides the ring onto your finger, and the two of you turn back to the sunset. Once the sky was dark and the moon was out, the two of you made your way back. Rex came out of nowhere and he was looking between the two of you.

   "She said yes." Kallus said as he brought your hand up to show to your brother.

   "Very good. However, remember that I have a better aim than you do. I can and will shoot you if you hurt her." Rex says as he shakes Kallus' hand, then gives you a hug. "Goodnight."

   "Goodnight Rex." You say as he turns and makes his way to his destination.

   "I'm tired, Alex. Can we go to bed now?" You ask and he leads you back to your quarters. He stops at your door as you open it.

   "Goodnight, love. Sleep well." He says as he turns to walk away, but you grab the front of his jacket.

   "I never said I was going to be sleeping alone." You said as you pulled him into your room, and he laughed as he followed you.

          ~The Next Day~

   You woke up with Kallus' arm wrapped around your stomach. You turned around and snuggled into his bare chest.

   "Goodmorning, love." Kallus' voice startles you. "I've been awake for a little while. Just didn't want to wake you up."

   "Goodmorning Alex." You say with a smile on your face as you recall last night. "We should get up so we can tell the others."

   "Rex has probably already told them." Kallus tries to get you to stay in bed.

   "Well we should get up anyways so we can get to work." You tell him and he groans.

   "Do we have to?" He asks and you chuckle as you get up. The blankets and sheets falling back down onto the bed, allowing your bare form to be seen. Kallus just puts his arm back under his head smirking. "I quite like the view this morning. It's exquisite." He says as he looks you up and down.

   "Come on Alex. Get up and get dressed we have stuff we need to do today." You say as you try to move over to the pile of clothes on the floor. An arm snakes around your waist.

   "Can't we just stay in here for a little while longer?" Kallus asks and you turn to look him in the eyes. Your resolve crumbles as you see he's practically pleading for you to stay.

   "Alright, but we have to get up before it gets too late. We both get grumpy if we miss breakfast." You say as you slip back under the sheets, and Kallus pulls you into his chest protectively.

   "I know. I just want to spend a bit longer with my fiance alone." He says then kisses the top of your head. As you lay in the arms of the man you love you think, 'Maybe this war isn't all bad'..
