Everyone had eaten their breakfast and they were getting ready for a fight. Well atleast the Bad Batch was getting ready for their first mission with a General. The person they were waiting on was Genral (L/n). She was doing a quick meditation session before the mission so she would feel prepared.
"We're ready when you are General." Hunter told (Y/n) who visibly flinched. "Sorry General I didn't mean to scare you."
"Don't worry Hunter. You didn't scare me, but please call me (Y/n). General is a term for someone like Master Kenobi, or General Skywalker. I'm neither of those people. Now shall we?" The two start to rejoin the others.
"You might not be General Kenobi or General Skywalker, but from what we've read you're just as accomplished. You might not believe so, but you deserve that title." Hunter said to (Y/n) who had stopped to think about what he said, then she continued walking.
"If that's the case then why do I feel... What's the right word? Like a villain?" She asked him as they walked on the Marauder.
"It's easy for the council to vilify things they don't understand." Anakin said from the cockpit doorway. "You're connection to the Force rivals mine, and dare I say... It passes mine. You're an anomaly they don't understand, and alot like me." The engines start up, and the ship lifts off.
"I assume that is why you've been assigned to be our General!" Tech shouts from the cockpit. The ship was quiet after that. Noone was talking except for Hunter and Tech in the cockpit. Anakin and (Y/n) were sat in meditation across from eachother. It was odd to Crosshair how people could sit that still for that long.
"So is that like a hobby, or something useful?" Crosshair asked the two who opened their eyes to look at him.
"It's not a hobby exactly. It's a useful tool that helps to organize thoughts, and when someone is strong enough in the Force they could even see the future with it. However, a vision of the future given by the Force is tricky. If you have one... It's best that you don't try to change the outcome. It can end up being the reason behind your vision." (Y/n) states outloud and warily.
"That reminds me. (Y/n) I need to talk to you about something. A vision I had a few weeks ago. Can I talk to you privately?" Anakin looks to (Y/n) who nods and smiles softly. They climb into the gunners seat for privacy, and Crosshair is left watching Wrecker finish putting his gun back together.
"I had a vision last week, but I'm confused. What was your vision about Anakin?" She asked him and he shifted a bit.
"About Padme. She died in childbirth, and everything just felt wrong." He admitted, and she put her hand on his shoulder.
"Anakin the more you try to change it the more likely it is to happen. The best you can do is accept its going to happen. When Yoda says to let go of attachment he doesn't mean don't have attachments. He means learn when it's time to let them go. You love her? You love your children?" She asked and he nods. "Then you need to learn that if it's anyone's time to go, that you need to be willing to let them go." He pulls her in for a quick friendly hug.
"You always have known what to say. What was your vision about?" Anakin asks and she starts to talk when the alarms start to go off. They jump down ready for whatever was happening. "What's going on, Tech?"
"We're under fire General." Tech responded. Hunter looked to (Y/n) who nodded.
"Echo help Tech, Wrecker get on the gun, I've got the console, and General?" Hunter looks to (Y/n) who waits for orders. "Anyway you can take some of the fire off of us?"
"Anti-aircraft guns, or enemy fighters?" She asks.
"Anti-aircraft, General." Tech responds.
"I'm on it." She punches the airlock button and it opens. "Once I'm clear shut the door." She jumps out, and Anakin groans.
