Any Idea How Long it's Been?

Commander Cody x Reader

   "Commander." He listened to the voice he hadn't heard in 15 years call out from the darkness. "Commander." He spun around in one place trying to pinpoint where the voice was coming from.

   "(Y/n)? (Y/n) where are you?" Cody called out into the darkness only to be met by silence. "Please just- Please let me come with you. I don't want to be here alone anymore. I just want to hold you again." Cody said as he fell to his knees. "I just want you back." He allowed his head to fall into his hands. He was very aware this was yet another dream, because he had this same one almost every night. The only thing he could do was wait for the dream to pass, so he could wake up and be back in a place he hated so much. Suddenly something new happened. A hand landed on his shoulder, and his head snapped up. Looking directly into the eyes of his long passed lover.

   "Commander." She said once again and he clung to her robes as his eyes filled with tears.

   "Please... Please take me with you mesh'la. Please! I can't take this anymore. I don't want to wake up anymore." Cody cried into her robes and he felt her kneel down infront of him.

   "I'm not as far away as you may believe." Shs whispered in his ear, and he looked at her hopefully. He knew it. He would beable to be with her, General Kenobi, and all of his brothers again soon. He couldn't wait to hear Rex say his signature 'I told you so'. He couldn't wait to hear General Kenobi's horrendous attempts at flirtation. Most of all, he couldn't wait to hold you in his arms again. "Wake up, my dear Cody. Wake up and you will see me soon."

   The Commander shot up out of his bed reaching for something that wasn't there. His shoulders drooped realizing it was just another dream. Until he remembered the last bit of his dream, and he shot out of bed. With an extra pep in his step he got ready for the day. Wholeheartedly believing that today would be the day he would get to go home. That today would be his last day alive. He went about his everyday duties not minding the odd looks he got as he made his way through the base. Suddenly the alarm bells started blaring, and while everyone was prepared to fight to win. Commander Cody was prepared to fight to die. He made his way to the front of the base only to be met with the sight of three people wielding lightsabers. Seeing as no other Stormtroopers were there he walked calmly up to the three figures and dropped his weapon. This confused them greatly. Then he removed his helmet and dropped to his knees.

   "Please. I just want to be with her again." He looked up to the three figures, while he held a pleading look in his eyes.

   "Commander Cody?" The figure holding two white lightsabers stepped out of the shadows. He instantly recognized her.

   "Commander Tano?" He asked back and she nodded. "Commander please. Please reunite me with her."

   "Cody who are you talking about?" Ahsoka asked him.

   "My love. M-My (Y/n)." Cody responded as he scooted further forward. "Please. I have nightmares every night about that day. I just want to see them again."

   "Ahsoka you deal with the Clone, Ezra and I are going to complete the mission." The man said as he and a younger boy ran off.

   "What are you talking about?" Ahsoka asked by the sound of approaching footsteps caused her to back away. "Come on Commander. We need to go." Ahsoka tugged the Commander up, and took off running to their exit. Once they were in the safety of space the man turned in his seat.
