Post Clone Wars: Part 2

The Momentary Calm

~Still a Flashback(Sorry)~

"Would you like a drink Fives? Some tea a hot chocolate or some water maybe?"
"Tea please." She walked over to a small cabinet in her transport and started to heat some water up. She didn't speak again until she rejoined us with a small tray with tea for each of us.
"When you three are ready to talk about what just happened I'm all ears." She pointed to her pointed ears which were barely seen poking out of her hair. Her eyes were black where the white should have been and gold in the irises. Her species was an endangered one and she was well beyond any of your years at the age of 57 (an Angel can get up to 500 years old so she is still technically kind of young for her species. Also they aren't a real thing on Star Wars), but didn't look a day over 25. A species called Angels from one of the moons of Iego.
"Well..." You slightly tuned out the story Rex was about to tell due to the pain you felt. You felt Fives wrap his arm around your shoulder in an attempt to calm your nerves.
"Hmm... An interesting development. I should have stayed at the temple and awaited his arrival. They will be contacting me soon to come in for a group Council meditation. To think that he is already so far into the Darkside. I am slightly disappointed."
"I have a feeling he wants to confess to what he has done. I do not feel that he is an actual threat to us any longer Master." Please hear him out." You pleaded to her. Her expression unmoving until she smiled.
"You turned out to be a fine Jedi Knight." She patted your shoulder and smiled. "We will be arriving shortly. This is a completely under the rug operation. Your location is not to be compromised and Fives? I will be leaving young (Y/n) here with you until your name is cleared and the evidence of the inhibitor chips is found. Though I'm afraid that is where the headache will come. I'm not sure where to start with that one." She rubbed her forhead, which had gold patterns on it, softly.
"Leave that part to me and a couple of my brothers, Meshla. If there are these things in our heads I want mine out soon. I volunteer myself to do a procedure to remove it. I might know a couple of others who would gladly volunteer as well. Only problem is getting them away from where they currently are."
"Leave that to Anakin. If you speak of Commander Wolffe, Commander Cody, and Commander Gregor then their Generals are about to be recalled to Corruscant for a meditation session to help clear the poor boys head. He has indeed been groomed by the chancellor his entire life." Her eyes bore into mine for a moment. "We have arrived." She stood up and we followed suit. "Tell me. Do you think that this corruption is to do with the Separatists?" She looked at me as we walked side by side.
"I think it might, but I'm not really sure." She sighed and pinched the top of her nose.
"Very well. It shall be investigated." She stopped at the front door of an apartment building. "Sorry Rex our home is being volunteered for this mission."
"It's fine with me Meshla. As long as they don't leave it in disarray." He smirked a little. "I believe this is where we part ways for a little while. General, Fives." He turned and walked back to the transport.
"It is indeed. Watch over eachother and do NOT let Fives leave the apartment. He is NOT to be seen by anyone until we prove what he says is true. I wish you both good luck." She bows slightly and walks away to Rex.
A few weeks passed by and during that time groceries had been delivered to the apartment by people only Rex and your Master trusted. The day came when they returned to the apartment after having the chips analyzed.
"Well you were absolutely right. The chips implanted in each clones head was set to go off at the right phrase. The Kaminoan people were arrested for high treason, and they've started throwing the names of their co-conspirators like they're candy. You can both come out of hiding again! The Council expects both of you at the temple by tomorrow night. Currently the majority of the Jedi Council has gone to arrest the Supreme Chancellor. Anakin was actually the to initiate the plan for his arrest. Feel free to join me on my transport if you so wish."
You turned to Fives and jumped in his arms and he hugged you back. Quickly the both of you exchanged a kiss. "You did it Fives! You saved your brothers!" This caused you to fully kiss not just a peck or a short sweet one... You really kissed the breath out of the man. When you pulled apart he looked at you as though he was in a trance.
"Whoa. That was amazing." You blushed and looked him in the eye.
"Thank you. Now let's go before they leave!" You grabbed his hand and pulled him along. "Good thing we actually got dressed today so then we could just leave."
That night when they attempted to arrest the Chancellor Master Fisto, Master Kolar, Master Tiin, and Granmaster Windu all lost their lives. Anakin had just arrived when the Chancellor drove his lightsaber through Windu. Effectively showing Anakin that there was no way to win without taking the Chancellors life. So when the time came he did not hesitate to kill the Sith Lord. Earning him his right to the title Master. That very same night Grievous tried to attack the temple, and your Master defeated him in combat. Yoda showed his appreciation by offering the title Grandmaster to her which she accepted. Masters all throughout the temple were being granted the ability to be in the Council and many accepted including you.
Tonight was your first Council meeting. You were as excited as you were nervous especially since they'd basically be relying on everyone to contribute ideas for news rules and such. On each side to the Council room entrance there was a temple guard. Still and stoic. Once you reached the inside behind other fellow masters you were greeted by Yoda's voice.
"Greetings. Good to see you all, it is. Have a seat." Once everyone was seated Yoda started up again. "Council members, you are now. Make important decisions, we must. Master Tsurei, yours the floor is."
Your master stood tall and elegant. "Fellow masters as times change so do we. This war that we were thrown into without our say so has shown us more than compassion towards people... But dare I say it love as well. Which is why I put a motion on the floor for attachments to be allowed. Not just for us, but every Jedi ranked Padawan and up. I have seen firsthand the strength that love can give one on and off the battlefield. I believe now that the war has ended we give our people the ability to continue this lifestyle while getting to hold someone near and dear. Thank you for listening to my proposition." She retreats back to her chair and sits down looking around the room for opposition.
"Everyone in favor of Master Tsurei's proposition say aye." A chorus of 'aye's' rung out. "Those not in favor say nay." Absolutely silent not a single one says it. "Settled it is then. Attachments, Jedi are allowed. Master (L/n) you wished to speak?"
You tried your hardest to stand as tall as your master did. "Now that the war is over and Master Kenobi is on Dooku's homeworld to negotiate peace between the republic and the sepratists... I move that once an agreement has been settled we call upon the senate to release the clone troops to live the lives they wish to live." There was a murmur through everyone and suddenly Anakin stood as well.
"I agree. The Senate have elected Senator Padme Amidala as Supreme Chancellor and she has requested that I take a seat on the senate as the Jedi Council representative. Stating that the Jedi are of our own class and should be considered as our own people. Therefore she wishes someone to be there to speak on our behalf."
"Do this for us, you will Skywalker?" Yoda looks expectantly at Anakin.
"It would be an honor." He bowed slightly to Yoda.
"Time for us to return to peacekeepers? I much like the sound of that life." Obi-Wan spoke up from his seat.
"Indeed Obi-Wan. It is time to return to the life of an actual peacekeeper. So its time to return the favor of a normal life to those who were made for the war."
"Anymore business to discuss, is there?" Yoda asked the rest of the Masters.
"Since we have approved for Jedi to have attachments I would like to formally invite all of you to mine and Padmes wedding." Anakin smirked thinking he knew something we didn't.
"We already know you two are married Anakin. Master Tsurei was just waiting to put the notion on the floor until after the war was over." Obi-Wan said with a slight joking tone mixed in. Anakin looked like he had just been tripped.
"I have actually been married for a while as well and I'm actually expecting so my current career is behind the scenes until they're here." Master Tsurei admitted. Anakin chuckled.
"Rex is gonna be extactic Tanaka. I do belive thats all the business for this meeting Master Yoda."
"Indeed it is Master Skywalker." Obi-Wan said as he stood up.
"Adjourned this meeting is. May the Force be with us all." Everyone stood from their place and left the room.
