This is a request from sadstrarwarsfan14. Just pretend that the Clone Wars was longer than 3 years, and that Echo was older than he was. Plus the Inhibitor chips didn't exist so Tup still lives, and the threat of a Sith Lord is nonexistent. It's really really long. Like 2,415 words long. I considered making this a small series, but I decided against it. I hope yall enjoy this one!

Echo held tight to his little girl as they stood in the launch bay. Everytime he had tried to let her go to go put into carbon freezing she would tighten her grip as much as she could. Her little arms just almost straining from how tight she held her arms around her dad's neck.

"I'll be okay, (Y/n). I'll come back you'll see." He looked to the guys in the 501st for help, but everyone was too overrun by emotion to move.

"No. I have a really bad feeling Daddy. You shouldn't go on this one, please!" She wailed into his chest, and his heart broke.

"I can't back out of this mission, sunshine. I'll be back before you know it, and we can go and see Senator Padme when we get back... Okay?" He tried to back away from the hug again, but her arms didn't give way. "I'm sorry (Y/n), but I have to do this." He finally got her face away from his chest cupping her little cheeks in his hands. "Can you be strong for Daddy while he's gone? Watch over the boys until I get back? We all know you're the strongest person here." She smiled a little and nodded.

"Okay Daddy. I'll watch over them for you." She pulled him into another hug, but let go willingly this time. "But you promise you'll come back? Pinky promise?" She held out her pinky and Echo very hesitantly locked his pinky with hers.

"I pinky promise, sunshine." Kix steps forward and takes the 5 year old girl into his arms. Echo looks back to his daughter one more time, before boarding the ship to go get carbon frozen.

A Few Days Later

(Y/n) stood on the platform waiting as patiently as she could. She bounced anxiously from one foot to the other as the ship came into view. The moment it landed and the ramp hit the ground she was at the bottom of the ramp looking through every face for her Dad. She finally spotted Uncle Fives and Uncle Rex and ran to them. When Fives spotted the girl his face fell, and Rex tried to keep a strong face. She threw herself into Rex's arms, and turned to look at Fives. The moment she saw his face she understood that she wouldn't be seeing her Daddy again.

"(Y/n) I'm sorry, but your Dad... Echo he didn't make it." Rex said trying to keep his voice steady. Her face showed her heartbreak and it automatically made both of their facades crumble. She moved over to Fives arms, and he held her tight.

"We're gonna take real good care of ya kid. We have you, and it's all going to be okay."

Nearly a year had gone by and things had been tough for Rex and Fives. They tried to find ways to bring the light back to the girls eyes, but she had lost her Father. She was very young and wasn't ready to lose him yet, but they had no choice but to try and move on. Everyday she grew and everyday she reminded them more and more of Echo. Her determination to protect her family being her most prominent trait, and her eyes didn't help at all. She had the same Hazel eyes that all of the clones had, but she had inherited her mothers (h/c) hair so it offset it a bit. She was resilient, and stubborn. She had found solice in the kitchen, because she could distract herself with something. She had convinced Jesse to buy her a small cookbook on their last trip to Coruscant. The cooks in the kitchens didn't mind her taking a small station, and often helped her learn what was what. They even bought her her own little spice rack once she learned her first recipe. Chocolate chip cookies.
