So About That Date?

This was a request from TwincessKori. I hope you like it hun!

I ran through the droids. I never really gave much thought to droids. I didn't feel threatened by them I never did, but I could tell that Commander Cody was getting tired of my antics. I don't understand why though, since every mission I'm deployed on is a success. Planting droid poppers on every few droids to ensure a clear path for the 212th.

"We're surrounded! Everyone hunker down and maybe we can turn these droids to scrap metal." Cody called over the comm.

"I'm clearing a path for the 212th Commander Cody." I said as I rounded my way back through the droids, and back to the Commander.

"Lieutenant get your chasis back here now!" Cody called over the comm, but I was now right behind him.

"Cool it Commander I'm right behind you." I said, and just from the way Cody turned towards me I knew he was glaring at me from under his helmet. I pressed the button and the droid poppers activated clearing a decent sized path.

"Everyone go for the opening move!" Cody yelled out to the troopers. After the mission was completed and a success Cody called me to the Bridge. I sighed as the elevator came to a stop.

"You wanted to see me Commander?" I asked him and he wheeled on me.

"I gave one specific order at the beginning of the mission. DO NOT GO OFF ALONE!" Cody said angrily. "You're being demoted." He said flatly and my jaw dropped.

"What? I worked my ass off to get my rank Cody. You can't do that!" I said angrily and he crossed his arms. "Whats my new rank... Sir." I said more as an angry statement instead of a question.

"Corporal, and I'm reassigning you to a new unit." Cody glared at me and I glared right back.

"I swear you only hate me, because we-" I started to mention our former sexual relationship, but he cut me off.

"No. It's because you're reckless and put our men in danger." Cody said and I rolled my eyes.

"Yet everytime I go on a mission we end up leaving with fewer casualties, than when I don't go." I said as I placed my palms on the table infronf of me. "You might as well just discharge me, because I am not interested in being treated as an object."

"You can't be discharged, because you haven't met your mandatory serve time. If you had I would've discharged you months ago." Cody growled at me and I scoffed.

"This hatred definitely doesn't stim from our past. If you wanted me gone... I would've gladly made that happen a long time ago." I responded in the same growl. "Now if you excuse me I have to get ready to leave." I turned to walk away and whispered under my breath. "Jackass." I reentered the elevator and booked it to my quarters. I started throwing all my stuff in my duffle. Which wasn't much now that I look at it. Just some civilian clothes, my datapad, my favorite book, and a few extra guns. I exhaled heavily and thought back on the past. Cody and I had been really close once. Close enough to have an intimate relationship, but he changed after the Citadel. It was almost as if he didn't even want to be seen by anyone in his downtime. I tried to reach out to him... To be there for him, but he just didn't even try to show the same interest. It lead to a really nasty breakup of sorts, but I didn't let that stop me from doing what I did best.

"Corporal (L/n) report to hangar 6 for reassignment." A clone said over the comm.

"On my way." I responded as I grabbed my bag and exited my room.

"Corporal? But she's a Lieutenant." I heard Boil say as I walked by him.

"Not anymore. I've been demoted thanks to Commander Dickhead." I told Boil as I continued making my way to the hangar. When I arrived I made my way to Cody. He turned to address me when I shouldered past him and stuck out my hand.
