*fast worward to 7pm! quinn was in her room doing her own thing, when she heard the front door open and her mum and dad shout up to her and toby, who must have had his headphones on because quinn saw that his bedroom door was still closed as she came out of her room*
jennette: kids?... we're home! *puts her bag on the dinning room table then took her jacket and shoes off*
darren: *walked in behind her and he also took his jacket and shoes off* maybe if we tell them we have their favourite takeaway food here, then maybe they would hear us and come down the stairs *laughs as does jennette*
quinn: *was already on her way out her room when she heard her mum shout, so she came into view at the top of the stairs just after darren said that. which made it look like quinn hear what he said*
jennette: oh wow, it really did work! * looks over at darren as he is sat on the single couch that is in their living room. they both laugh as quinn reaches the bottom of the stairs*
quinn: whats so funny? *looks at her mum then over at her dad*
jennette: your dad was just saying that, maybe if he told you and toby that we had your favorite takeaway food waiting for you, then it would make you guys come down the stairs. and just as he finished speaking, you appeared at the top of the stairs, making it look like you heard him *laughs*
quinn: nope! didnt hear a thing... but that totally would have worked aswell *laughs as she goes into the kitchen to get a drink*
darren: *saw quinn walking towards the kitchen* wheres your brother?
quinn: *looks back at her dad* most likely hiding in his room playing his xbox. i havent seen him since lunch time *smiles at her dad then continues to make her way into the kitchen*
darren: im gonna go up and check on him. see what hes up to *goes up to toby's room and knocks on his door. he heard toby talking to someone so darren knew that he would just have to go in and let toby see that darren and jennette were back from work*
toby: *was very focused on his xbox game till he saw his dad walk in the room* oh hey dad! *turns back to his tv and holds his little microphone up to his mouth so that the friends that he was playing with could hear what he wanted to say* guys, im gonna go becuase thats my parents back from work now *his mates say bye to him* see ya! *he took his headphones off then turned his xbox off before sitting back on his beanbag to chat with his dad*
darren: hey bud! hows it going? *sat on the end of toby's bed and looked down at toby as he sat back on his beanbag*
toby: good! just been hiding in my room all day... nothing new *laughs*
darren: *laughs* of course! ...wanna go out and play some football with your old man?
toby: sure! ill just get changed into a more suitable outfit than this onesie
darren: yeah, im just gonna get out of my work clothes so they dont get destoyed *laughs*
toby: *laughs*alright!
darren: ill meet you down stairs when you are ready *gets up from toby's bed and goes into his and jennetts room to get ready*
*back with brittany and santana, they are still lying in bed watching movies and eating snacks when meredith comes in, in a very good mood considering how much work she has had to do today.*
brittany: *lifts her head up from resting it on santanas head. she looks over at her mum who just walked in* hey mum!
meredith: hi honey! ive got some news for you girls *looks at the girls at tries to keep a straight face and not give it away*
*santana sat up and rested her head on brittanys shoulder as she looked at meredith, hoping that what she was about to tell them, is good news*
brittany: *has her left arm wrapped around santana's lower back, holding her* whats up? ...did the doctor call you back? *speaks a little nervously*
meredith: yes! they did... *looks at san* san?....
santana: yeah *speaks quietly as the nerves kick in all over again*
meredith: your mum's surgery went perfectly and the doctors are now just waiting for her to wake up again *no longer hold back her happiness and starts smiling from ear to ear as she sees brittany smiling and santana also kinda happy but still looks like she doesnt believe what shes just been told*
santana: really? *smiles a little*
meredith: yeah, we'll be going to visit her when she is up for it, would you like that? *looks at san*
santana: *smiling from ear to ear now that it has finally hit her that she isnt just dreaming* id love too *gets up and hugs meredith* ...thank you! *spoke into her ear as they were hugging. meredith doesnt say anything and just smiles becuase she isnt entirely sure what she is being thanked for. she wasnt the one doing the surgery on valerie*
brittany: thats awesome! *smiles as san hugs meredith* see babe, i told you, you didnt have anything to worry about *smiles at san as santana gets back onto the bed to kiss brittany and gets back into their previous cuddling position*
meredith: yeah, you lopez woman are big fighters, thats for sure *smiles at the girls as they smile back* there's no stopping you guys and im very inspired by you both for how strong you are
santana: thank you meredith! thats very kind of you to say *smiles at meredith as she smiles back*
meredith: my pleasure! anyway, ill let you girls get back to your movie and ill see you both in the morning *goes back to her room*
brittany: night *smiles at her mum*
*back at quinn's! while toby and darren are out in the garden playing football, quinn and her mum were sat in the living room watching tv. quinn wasnt that interested with what was on, so she ended getting lost in her thoughts about her secret that she is desperate for it not to be a seceret any longer. she wants to tell her parents but she's so worried because she doesnt know how they will react. she snapped out of her thoughts when she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. its as if rachel knows when quinn is thinking about her. quinn smiles as she sees that she had a message from rachel*

rach: hey, just thought id give you an update on the guest list for santana's thing. so far everyone from our glee club group are up for it, since the last night out ended up happening without san and britt *shades*

rach: hmm... i wonder why you are excited to be out socialising?... concidering thats always been one of your most hated things to do *laughing emoji and kissing emoji*
*quinn giggled a little because she knows that rachel and her were both thinking about how they will be reunited this weekend*
