Meredith: *looks at Brittany as Britt looks at her and mouths the words* "thank you" just because she had no idea what she would have said to san and definitely wasn't ready for how upset Santana was going to be*
Meredith: *mouths back* "you're welcome" ... do either of you girls know what you would like for food? *gets up from the dinning table and heads into the kitchen*
Brittany: *looks at san* what would you like baby?
Santana: *keeping her head down and still talking quietly* ...I'm not hungry!
Brittany: *knows that Santana is just saying that because of how she is feeling about all that has just happened* ... if i have a tuna mayo sandwich, do you think you could try to eat one half and ill eat the other?
*Santana doesn't say anything and just shakes her head. Brittany sighs because she is so worried that this news is just going to make san go back to her old habit of starving herself and being really hard on herself about not being there for her mum*
*Meredith was stood at the kitchen counter, watching the girls interaction. Brittany looked up at her mum with so much worry and concern. feeling helpless that she cant do anything to make Santana feel better*
Meredith: how about you girls go and spend some alone time together in Brittany's room? Ill make your tuna sandwich and bring it through for you, when its ready
Brittany: thanks mum! *smiles at her mum as she stands up and reaches her hand out for Santana to grab hold of. San stands up but still isn't saying anything or making eye contact with anyone. Brittany wraps her right arm around san's waist which then lets her rest her head on Britt"s shoulder as they make their way to the bedroom*
Brittany: im going to go to the bathroom, then ill be back to cuddle with you ok *kisses san on the forehead then goes to the bathroom, while san just gets into Brittany's side of the bed and hides under the covers*
*once Brittany came out of the bathroom, she looked over at her bed and frowned because she saw that san put the covers over her head to hide. Brittany had a thought of what she hopes will make Santana smile. She goes over to her side of the cupboard to get one of her hoodies out*
Brittany: *walks over to the bed looking at where Santana's head was* baby... *speaks a little enthusiastically* ...I've got something for you! *waits for san to take the covers off her head so she can look at Brittany*
Santana: *she continues to hide under the covers. She thinks that brittany went and got the tuna sandwich that britt asked for* no thanks, not hungry!
Brittany: no babe... its not that
Santana: what is it?
Brittany: its your favourite thing of mine! And its red!
Santana: *little bit of a pause*... your lips? *Brittany cant see her but Santana started smiling as soon as she said that*
Brittany: *laughs* nice try! but no *still hoping santana will take the covers off her head and just look at Brittany and see what she is holding*
Brittany: its something you always wear round the house *feels like she practically gave san the answers so surly she would know what Brittany has for her*
*just as Brittany was waiting for san to have another go at guessing. Brittany's mum knocked on her bedroom door*
Brittany: *walks over to her bedroom door* I'm still waiting for your second guess babe! *Santana stays completely quiet as Britt has a chat with her mum*
Meredith: hey, how are my girlies doing? *stands at the door and looks at Brittany then over to where san is*
Brittany: getting there... she doesn't want to take her head out from under the covers so she is trying to guess what I'm holding, otherwise she wont be able to get it *laughs so does her mum*
