*skip to october, 1 week before britt's birthday. san and brittany have been at college for a few weeks now and are absolutely loving their timetables, because they still get to be with each other in most classes. and of course still act like their old selfs, being all lovey dovey with each other and getting distracted from their work. but somehow they manage to get away with it*
santana: well... that was fun! *smiles up at brittany as she sits on the couch after just getting back from their last day of college, for the week*
brittany: *sits on the couch and rests her right arm over the back of the couch as she looks at san* really? ...classes werent to busy and sociable for your liking? *smiles at san as santana giggles at brittany*
santana: i wouldnt know... your face was such a distraction that i didnt even notice anyone else *smirks as brittany playfully shakes her head and smiles*
brittany: of course i was to blame for you falling behind and missing out on all the gossip around you, in the lunch hall *laughs*
santana: first of all... i am the smartest in my class, so i cant possibly be failling anything! and second... im too old to get myself involved with gossip and the insecure bitches that start it... i have more important things to focus on, that will definetly be more entertaining *smiles*
brittany: well im happy to hear that you have moved on from the drama part of your life *smiles as does san* ...i hated when you would get into fights with the other girls at school *frowns just thinking back to one of the fist fights that san was involved with*
santana: *places her hand on top of brittanys as her hand rested on her leg* yeah... i promise you that it wont happen again! im much stronger and more mature. so i know how to gracefully handle confrontation now *smiles*
brittany: good! *smiles as her and santana look into each others eyes for a few moments*
santana: anyway, i was talking to my mum earlier and she said that she has been doing alot better *brittany smiles as she watches san just beam with so much happiness*
brittany: thats great babe! *smiles and san smiles back*
santana: yeah! ...how about we do like a video call with them on your birthday and have a chat with them just to catch up, so they can wish you a happy birthday? *smiles at brittany*
brittany: i would love that *smiles*
santana: awesome! ill message my mum and see if she is up for it *smiles then gets up to go over and get her phone out her bag*
brittany: and ill let my mum know just so she can see if she has time off work to join as well *looks at san as she looks up from her phone to smile back at brittany*

santana: hey mum, that's me and brittany back from college and we were just chatting with each other about her birthday. we thought that it would be a nice idea to facetime with you and meredith, just so you guys could wish britt a happy birthday and also just so we can all talk, because we are kinda getting a little home sick and would love to hear from you both *kissy face*

brittany: hey mum, what is your work schedule like for this week?
santana: *looks up at brittany and walks back over to the couch* my mum is up for it *smiles as brittany looks up at santana and smiles back*
brittany: alright cool! just need to wait and see what my mums work schedule is like this week so then i can see what time she is free to facetime us *has her right arm wrapped round the back of sans neck as she sat down and cuddled into brittanys side, resting her head on brittanys shoulder*
santana: k... *cuddles into brittany as she places her phone on the arm of the chair. brittany cuddles into san and rested her head ontop of san's and they just sat in the position, relaxing after their non stop day of socializing and getting things done for a certain time*
*santana started to draw light circles with her finger, over the top of britts left hand that was now placed lazily onto her lap. brittany just looked down and saw san playing with her hand and she started smiling. she doesnt know why but it was little moments like that, that brittany loved the most. because no matter how busy or stressful their days get. as soon as she gets time to sit and relax with san close by, brittany instantly feels so much better and reminds herself that she needs to just relax and live in the moment with the ones she loves most. because it can all be gone in an instant and she would have to live with regret the rest of her life for always having her head in the clouds, thinking about the future and all the big goals that she wants to acheive.*
santana: *looks up at brittany and sees they she has a big goofy grin on her face and was lost in thought about something* what you thinking about? *places her right hand ontop of brittanys as she looks up into brittanys eyes. brittany snaps out of her thoughts and focuses on san, looking into her eyes as she continues to smile, just a little less than before she was spoken to*
brittany: you! *smiles at san*
santana: *laughs and playfully rolls her eyes* of course... how can i forget about that cheeky smile being the one that is saved just for me... *laughs as does brittany*
brittany: you know me so well babe! *kisses san*
santana: looks up at brittany once they stop kissing* let me guess... we were on the beach and i was wearing a super cute bikini?! *giggles because she knows that brittany would enjoy that and she would turn into a horny teen that just comments, in embarassing ways that make san blush while she tries her best to shut brittany up. so that the people around them, dont hear her*
brittany: no... but now that you mention it... *smirks at san*
santana: damn it! why did i say that... now you are gonna be day dreaming for the rest of the evening *laughs*
