*Rachel was going to be taking a trip to her mums house for the week. because with Rachel's school schedule and her mums work. They rarely get time to see each other for more than a few minutes on FaceTime to each other, when they would catch up every so often*
*terry was in his office, answering some emails. He knew that Rachel was on FaceTime to her mum so he did his usual and just gave them their space so things didn't get awkward between Hayley and himself. rachel knows that the 2 of them are still staying friends for her sake. So she is just grateful that they are both agreeing to something and letting Rachel keep a close relationship with both of them.*
*rachel was sat on her bed. Chatting and laughing with her mum just like they always do*
Hayley: so how are you and Quinn doing? *smiles at Rachel, genuinely curious to hear about the girl that has come into Rachels life and made her 10x happier than Hayley has ever seen rachel*
Rachel: *gets instant happiness in her heart just thinking about Quinn* we're doing good... Great actually *smiles from ear to ear and gets lost in thought thinking about Quinn*
Hayley: *smiles as she watches Rachel's face light up at the mention of Quinn* i can see that... *laughs at Rachel getting lost in thought with the biggest smile on her face*
Rachel: *snaps out of her daze and feels like she shouldn't talk to much about Quinn* sorry...
Hayley: its ok honey... you don't need to apologies for being happy *Smiles at Rachel*
Rachel: i know! i just feel bad because you and dad aren't long divorced so you are all alone and don't get to have someone to keep you company*
Hayley: *tires to avoid what Rachel really meant by that* well, lucky for me. you and i will have time together this week. we can go shopping... go to the movies...We can do all sorts*
Rachel: you know thats not what i meant mum *laughs* i want you to be able to have the other kind of company *smiles at her mum*
Hayley: don't worry honey! I will find someone some day. I just need to have some time to myself for a while so i can be ready to let another guy come into my life *smiles*
Rachel: *weakly smiles* yeah... i just want you to be happy! so that Prince Charming of yours better hurry up and come to sweep you off your feet *laughs*
Hayley: i know right... *laughs and jokes to try and make Rachel stop worrying*
*there was a bit of a pause as Rachel got lost in thought again. Her mum saw Rachels facial expression so she quickly cut it short so Rachel wouldn't beat herself up about the current situation*
Hayley: there will be someone out there for me... we just need to be patient... because someone who can deal with my crazy work schedule, wont just come within a few days. And thats ok *smiles as Rachel looks back at her with a weak smile*
Rachel: yeah, i guess youre right!
Hayley: anyway, enough about that! Are you excited for this week?
Rachel: ofc i am! Ive missed you so much *smiles at her mum*
Hayley: I've missed you too! Cant believe my baby girl has graduated *smiles with so much pride*
Rachel: feels like I've been at school for decades *laughs at her exaggeration*
Hayley: my little drama queen *laughs* ... anyway, I'm gonna go and get some of my work done but i will see you tomorrow, bright and early *smiles at Rachel*
