You forgot yourself (chapter 15)

Shawn POV

Camila slept through the whole ride and I think I also fell asleep for a moment and Juliana woke me up when she called my name and said we arrived at the hospital. Juliana and the coach said that Camila still needed to stay in the hospital for a few days.

,,Can you wake up Camila? We need to check her in." Juliana said and I nodded.

,,Mila... Hey... Wake up... We arrived at the hospital..." I said and brushed her arm lightly with my hand. She groaned and then opened her eyes looking up at me.

Juliana got out of the car and helped me get Camila out, too. As we all got out, I saw Sofia, Emma and the coach at the entrance of the hospital.

,,My little ladybug..." Emma said and gave Camila a hug, but Camila moaned from pain and Emma pulled away. ,,I'm sorry... Did I hurt you?" She asked worried.

,,No.. It's okay. Don't worry." Mila said giving her a sad smile.

,,Come on. We need to check you in." Mr Cabello said to Camila.

Mila nodded and she put her arm around my waist as I helped her walk. I wanted to pick her up and carry her, so she wouldn’t have to walk, but that would hurt her back.

After the nurses gave Camila a room, we all helped her settle in.

,,Thank you all, but I think I'm okay now." She said as she layed in the bed.

,,You sure? Aren't you hungry? Or maybe thirsty?" Her dad asked.

,,Dad, I'm fine." Mila said and he nodded.

,,Can I hug you?" Sofia asked her softly.

,,Of course, princess... Come here." Mila said and lifted the covers, so Sofia could cuddle next to her.

,,Me too..." Emma said and got on the other side of the bed and cuddled with them.

Camila looked a little bit in pain, but she didn't seem to care so much about it. Suddenly, my phone started ringing and I saw it was my mom.

,,Be right back." I said and exited the room and picked up as I was outside the room. ,,Hey, mom.."

,,When are you coming back home? I mean, from Camila's competition. Oh and did she won?" My mom asked excited and I realized I didn't text them or called them to tell them what happened.

,,Ahm... Well we are already in town, but I don't know how to tell you..."

,,Shawn baby, what's wrong?"

,,Camila had a bad e-even a really bad accident... S-She fell on the ice and broke her ankle... She can't skate anymore for...months.... She also hurt her back and head and now....we just brought her from the hospital in Mushtown to the one here..."

,,Oh god... I- I don't know what to say... Text me or dad when you come home... I really don't know what to say...j-just tell her we're there for her if she needs us."

,,I'll tell her, but mom..."

,,Yeah?"

,,Never mind..."

I wanted to ask her if I could stay at the hospital overnight, but I should ask Camila if she wants me to stay. Maybe she doesn't want me to stay, so I should ask her first. I just wanna be there for her...day or night. It doesn't matter. Even if tomorrow is school I'd be probably worried anyways all day about her and I won't be able to stay focused on school.

I got back in and everyone's attention was on me.

,,It was my mom... I forgot to tell her what happened." I told them.
