Can we hug now? (chapter 33)

Camila POV

I cuddled myself up on Shawn and the time passed pretty fast. We suddenly heard a knock on the door and Shawn put the covers away from his head and said:

,,Come in."

,,Where is Camila?" I heard Karen's voice ask.

,,Hiding under the covers." Shawn said and chuckled lightly.

,,I asked Alejandro and Juliana to join us for dinner, but they said they will only come if you and Sofia are okay with is. Sofia already agreed to it..." Karen said and I put the covers away from my head to look at Shawn.

I looked in his eyes trying to find my answer. I knew exactly what his eyes were telling me to do, but I was still too hurt to do what they were telling me to.

,,If Sofie is okay with it then fine." I said and then got back under the covers.

,,I'm gonna tell them." Karen said before she left.

As she left, Shawn put the covers away from my face and looked me deep into the eyes.

,,Mila..."

,,I know. I’m really trying to understand. It's just hard...." I said and he put his hand on my cheek, stroking it lightly with his thumb.

,,Mila?" I heard Sofia's soft voice and as I looked in the door's direction, I saw her there.

,,Yes, princess?"

,,Are you still mad at daddy and Juliana?" She asked and sat on the bed next to me.

,,I don't know. They hurt me by lying to us..."

,,They were scared to tell us..." She said.

,,I know... I'm really trying to understand."

,,What does it matter what we think anyways. They are happy, aren't they?"

,,I suppose they are. And it doesn't matter what we think, but we should accept it and I did so, but how I found out hurt me. I would've wanted them to tell me."

,,They said they are sorry. You only have to accept their apologies..."

,,And I will." I said.

,,I'll go back to Aaliyah." She said, gave me a kiss on the cheek and left.

,,I love you. You know that?" I said to Shawn after Aaliyah left.

,,I know and I love you too." He said, put his hand on my back and pulled me into a kiss.

,,Thank you." I said as we broke apart.

,,For what?" He asked and stroke my cheek with his thumb again.

,,For everything. You always know what to say to me. You always know how to make me feel better."

,,That's because I wanna see you smile. I would do anything to see you smile."

,,It's mutual." I said and picked his lips.

After a while, we walked downstairs and talked a lot with Karen and Manuel. We ate lunch together and then we all helped Karen clean up the table.

Shawn and I helped her cook dinner while we were talking and joking around. The time passed by without us realizing it.

As soon as the dinner was ready, we put it on the plates and those on the table. We waited for dad and Juliana to come and we didn't need to wait long.

As the door bell rang, Manuel went to open the door while Shawn took my hand in his and I took a deep breath trying to stay calm.

As they walked into the dining room, they sat quietly at the table and we all started eating. The whole dinner was so silent and it killed me so I spoke up.
