Camila POV

One month passed and the doctor finally gave me the okay to start walking by myself. That ankle was more damaged than we thought, but it started getting better.

It was the day before Christmas and I was so excited. We were going to celebrate together with Shawn's family and that made me even more excited. I had the best present for him and I couldn't wait to see his face when he’ll see it.

,,Shawn, it's okay. The doctor said I can walk. Now, don't worry." I said as I wanted to stand up from my seat as Shawn's training ended.

,,I know he said you can walk, but what if you fall down?"

,,Shawn, I'm okay. I won't fall. You know, I walked before. It's not like it's my first time."

,,Ha. Ha. Now let me help you. Please."

,,Shawn, I appreciate everything you do and did for me, but you didn't let me walk the whole day even if this morning the doctor said I can walk without any help."

,,I just wanna make sure you don't get hurt..."

,,I know." I said and kissed him. He used the opportunity to wrap his arms around me and hold me bridal way. ,,Shawn... Please! I really wanna walk... How am I supposed to skate again if I don't start walking?"

,,Fine..." He said and put me back down on the floor. He took my hand as we went to my dad. Shawn was so concentrated the whole time on me so if I fell he could catch me.

It was so good to walk normally again without feeling any pain. I couldn't wait to skate again.

,,You are walking! How does it feel?" My dad asked as he saw me.

,,Like my first time." I said playfully and everyone laughed.

,,You ready to go?" Dad asked.

,,Yep." I said and then turned around to look back at Shawn. ,,You don't have to walk me. I'm with dad. You can go home. It's late and tomorrow is the Christmas Eve."

,,I know. But I'll still walk you."

,,You don't have to."

,,I know. But I want to."

,,You know I'm starting to get used to the whole protective boyfriend. That's not good. I'm an independent woman." I said and we both laughed softly.

,,Who said you can't be an independent woman and have a lovely and protective boyfriend at the same time?" He said and kissed my nose as he took my hand and we followed dad and Sofie outside the hall.

It's pretty weird to go to the ice hall without skating, but I love that hall, so I'd never stop going there for anything in this world.

The next day I woke up with a smile on my face as Sofie woke me up by jumping in my bed like she always does.

,,Wake up, Mila!" She said excited.

,,I'm up." I said and pulled her into a hug and started leaving kisses all over her face.

,,Aaaa! Leave me alone, kissing monster!" She shouted and right then, dad entered our room.

,,Come on, girls. Breakfast is ready." He said and Sofie ran out the room to the kitchen.

It was a little bit harder for me to stand up and walk, but I successfully got in the kitchen and we all started eating.
