I went back to our room to inform Mrs. Fara—my adviser and to excuse us.

Ken was sleeping there the moment I left him alone. The school nurse said he needed rest in order to get well.

Ma'am Fara were already discussing when I got in front of the room although I couldn't see because the door was closed, but her voice saying about Math is the evidence. I knocked on the door twice to get her attention.
Silence and the sound of sandals touching on the floor were the next sounds I heard. Seconds ago, the door slowly opened and Mrs. Fara welcomed my sight as I expected.

"Oh Charlyn, come in," she gestured to me to come inside.

I shook my head thrice and I put my hand in front, "I am here Ma'am to inform you that Ken is in the clinic that's why he's not here," I said my purpose why I came here.

Worries immediately drawn in her face, "Why? What happened to him?"

"He has a fever but he's okay now. He just needs some rest and he's sleeping right now."

She sighed in relief, "Good thing he's okay now. Charlyn bantayan mo muna siya hanggang sa gumising siya at ako na ang bahala sa mga ibang subjects na magsabi para mai-excuse kayong dalawa."

I nodded, "Thank you Ma'am. I have to go back to the clinic."

She nodded so I turned my back and started to walk back to the clinic.

I was near my destination when I changed my way. I decided to buy fruit for Ken.

I had a hard time getting rid of the bodyguard. We talked and when I got annoyed I used my threatened words. As I expected, he quickly opened the gate for me to go out with my car.

I drove fast and minutes ago, I was in the market. I fastly chose and took the fruit. I immediately went to the counter and luckily there's no people lining up so I didn't have to wait for so long.

Just a minute ago, I was holding a basket with fruits inside of it. Then I went back to my car and drove off.

Ken was still sleeping when I got inside the clinic. I placed the basket on the bedside table and sat beside him.

I grabbed the chance to stare at him without him knowing about it. I don't know nor understand why I want to stare at him. All I know, I just woke up one morning and looked the sight of him.

Even though he's sleeping, the discipline is still there. His body is straightly lying
on the bed with both hands on his side.

I slowly ran my eyes up to his face. My gaze stopped to his Adam's apple. I gulped as I learned how perfect his adams apple is. My eyes nailed his pinkish lips. I stared at it too and I immediately looked away when my mind started to imagine. I continued on what I was doing after I cleared my mind. His nose is not that pointed but suits his face.

His eyes are covered with eyeglasses. I was curious what his face would look like if his eyeglass was gone. I had a second thought if I was going to take his eyeglass off his eyes. Curiosity won so I slowly moved closer and carefully took his eyeglass off for him not to wake up. I had a hard time doing that because my hand was trembling. It's as if I was doing something illegal.

Napatulala ako nang tuluyan ko nang makita ang kanyang mukha na walang eyeglasses.

His eyelashes are so long and black. His eyebrows are perfect in their curves. Sakto lang ang kapal ng kanyang kilay and slightly in messed but I found it attractive.

I can say that he's handsome but not the same as my flings who have this adorable and goddess face. Honestly, in our section if I compare Ken's to them, walang wala si Ken. Meaning, yung itsura niya ay pinakahuli sa lahat.

'But there's something to his face na nagpatulala sa akin.'

After I get loath to stare at him, I put his eyeglass back. I stood up and got some fruits I bought. I went to the kitchen and washed the fruits. I'd get a plate and knife. I peeled it and sliced it thin. I'd get a fork and put it on the plate.

Precisely, Ken was up when I came back.

"Ano 'yang hawak mo?" he curiously asked.

I just gave him a smile and put the plate on the bedside table. I sat on my previous chair, "How's your feeling?" I asked instead.

He smiled, "Ayos naman na ako. Pwede na akong pumasok—" he stopped and his smile quickly replaced to shock look. He fastly looked at his back where the clock placed.

His eyes widen when he learned that he already missed three subjects, "Hindi na ako nakapasok sa tatlong subjects at malapit ng mag-umpisa ang huling subject sa umaga!"

I was caught off guard when he took the blanket off him and stood up.

I immediately stood up and stopped him from what he was about to do. I held his shoulder and made him sit on the bed.

"Hey! Relax! I already informed Mrs. Fara about your situation and she assured me that we are excused in all subjects. So there's nothing to worry about," I explained.

He sighed in relief, "Ganon ba? Salamat naman kung ganon."

"Yes. Kaya humiga ka muna dyan because you need rest."

He followed what I said. I took the plate from the table, "Here. Eat this. It will be helpful for you to get well," I offered.

He got up and took the fork. Tumusok siya ng apple then eat.

After he ate, I went to the kitchen and washed the plate I used. I went back to him when I finished my business there.

Nakaramdam ako ng ilang nang maramdaman kong nakatitig si Ken sa akin. Out of curiosity, I glanced at him and fight his stare.

"Why are you staring at me?"

He smiled, "I just want to say thank you. Thank you for taking care of me Charlyn."
