Tsukishima, Yamaguchi and Kageyama showed up right at the same time, all out of breath. "Where should we look first?" Yamaguchi asked. Tsukishima and Kageyama looked around. In all honesty, they had no clue where to start.
"We should probably check the court. I have a feeling he's not there...but it's worth a try" Kageyama tried his best to remain calm but only the worst thoughts filled his head. "No. He would've asked one of us to go with him. Other than serving and maybe spiking at the wall there's not much for him to do alone. We don't need to waste time going there" tsukishima spoke.
As much as they hoped Hinata would've been there, Yamaguchi and Kageyama knew full well that tsukishima was right. They both nodded and continued in thought.
"This is the first time he's even been out alone, right?" Tsukishima questioned. Kageyama thought for a moment before answering "Yeah, I can't think of a time he either went out alone or stayed out for an extended period of time." Tsukishima seemed to have a sort of uncomfortable feeling wash over him "You don't think..."
Kageyamas eyes widened "Would he? I mean, I understand why he'd go there but..." Yamaguchi had a confused expression, still not putting two and two together. He couldn't think of where they were talking about.
Noticing his state of confusion, tsukishima said "Then we'll go to Hinata's place and hope for the best. Although, if he really went there, I don't even want to know what's happening to him. His mother is out of her mind and his father is already a piece of shit drunk." Yamaguchi shook his head slightly, upset by his own disregard to the possibility that Hinata wanted to check on his family.
"Let's hurry. If he's there, it's better we get there sooner rather than later" Kageyama spoke with urgency, already beginning to walk. Yamaguchi and tsukishima soon followed.

Three twisted fingers later and Hinata's father was beginning to get bored. He stared at his son, who was hanging limply off the tree with his hand dripping blood. Hinata could barely stay conscious with the amount of pain he was in but he knew he had to stay awake in the presence of his father. Far worse things were to come if he weren't awake.
"You know what, I've changed my mind. I'll leave your right hand alone, this isn't even enjoyable..." Kutai tossed the wrench to the floor and stretched his arms above his head while getting lost in thought. Hinata noticed the sudden silence and slowly lifted his head to meet his fathers murderous gaze. He immediately dropped his head in fear of further upsetting him.
"Looks like you know your place. Good. Now let's move on, I've got an idea Shoyo!" Hinata looked up but didn't dare meet his fathers eyes. The adrenaline rush he had helped take his mind off the searing pain in his hand but he was still fearful of what would come next.
He could only watch as his father pulled out a small pocket knife and a pair of pliers. Kutai made a face as if he'd forgotten something and rushed towards his car, pulling out a foldable chair. "Can't forget this" he said to himself.
He rushed over to Hinata as if he were excited and sat down directly in front of him. "Since your screams were starting to fade with each finger, I figured I might as well do something that's sure to put you in agony." With that, he took Hinata's soft and delicate, yet calloused and broken hand in his own, appearing to be admiring what he did so far.
Kutai flashed Hinata a devilish grin before gripping his already injured ring finger in his own, causing Hinata to squirm in pain and discomfort. The more he struggled, the more he realized he was stuck in this situation and would not be getting out anytime soon.
