Chapter 19

"Alright everyone! We're taking a lunch break then we'll be on our way. We should be getting information on who will be chosen before we leave too!" Daichi said as he directed the team to the lunch room. "Okay!" the team answered.

"How did it feel to be beaten once again, tobio-chan?" Oikawa crossed his arms and grinned. He pretty much followed kageyama around since the end of the game just to get the chance to tease him.

Kageyama only narrowed his eyes, not wanting to talk to the setter. What he really wanted was to eat lunch in peace with his boyfriend...or as much peace as you can get with Hinata. "Well if you're going to ignore me then I'll talk to chibi-chan~" Oikawa pouted and directed his attention toward Hinata, who had just grabbed his food. "Hi, oikawa-san!" he greeted.

"How about I sit with you, I can lighten up the mood-" oikawa was cutoff by a smack to the head from iwaizumi "This is abuse! Iwa-chan~" oikawa whined "I didn't even do anything.." Iwaizumi simply glared at him before turning to the crow duo. "Was he doing anything stupid? I know how he gets after winning a game." he made sure to glance at oikawa, giving what appeared to be a disappointed look.

"No, it's alright! We all have our own ways of celebrating a win" Hinata chuckled "Anyway, wanna sit with us?" he smiled brightly. Oikawa didn't wait for iwaizumis answer and sat down in front of Hinata, iwaizumi sighed and sat down in front of Kageyama, who seemed irritated and quickly ate his food. Just before anyone could start a conversation, two more tall players showed up.

Yamaguchi gave a slight smile and tsukishima looked like he didn't want to be there. Well, he was mainly there for the simple fact that he wanted to keep an eye on Hinata. Oikawa and Kageyama could be considered nuisances to him, as for iwaizumi, tsukki felt indifferent. Iwa didn't irritate him, cause a ruckus, or act obnoxious.

Despite his disinterest towards the other players, tsukishima sat down at a table directly next to theirs, with yamaguchi following beside to him. Kageyamas eyes darted directly to the middle blocker, who completely ignored him and started scrolling through his phone. Hinata looked in their direction and tilted his head, confused as to why tsukishima willingly decided to sit next to other people, other people being Kageyama and oikawa. He decided to ignore them for now and make conversation with the players at his table.

"Oikawa-san! Will you give me some tips on serving before we leave?" Hinata asked for the hundredth time, excitedly. "Well of course, I wouldn't want shrimpy to leave empty handed. But I've got a question.." oikawa stated, glancing in Kageyamas direction. "What is it?" Hinata asked. "Why don't you ask tobio-chan to help you? After all, that serve of his stemmed from seeing mine. If I'm being honest, his serve could rival mine in terms of power...although not in control.." he said with with a slight mischievous tone. Kageyama glared in his direction for a moment before looking away, trying to hide his irritation.

Hinata looked at Kageyama with a curious expression then back at oikawa "I guess I've never really thought of that..Kageyama doesn't really seem like the coach type, ya know? I'd mess up too much and he'd get frustrated with me" he gave a nervous laugh, getting a strange look from Kageyama "...I mean, I'd really be fine with just some tips on what to do and how to improve...I wouldn't want to waste too much of anyone's time trying to teach me to serve better. That's something that takes time and- well, just forget about helping me oikawa-san, I just realized I'll be alright learning on my own." Hinata once again felt that wave of emptiness crash into him. All the happiness and excitement he was feeling quickly faded as he spoke.

Everyone at the table stayed silent, unsure of what to say. As for iwaizumi and oikawa, they only knew Hinata as a hyper ray of sunshine. It was unusual for them to witness Hinata's mood change so quick.
