(Tsukishima and Hinata at home)
The two boys just entered Tsukishimas house, closing the door behind them. "Now that we're done with THAT conversation, how are you feeling? How bad does your leg hurt?" Tsukishima questioned. "I can't stand on it, will you help me get to your room, please..? I feel horrible." Hinata pouted as Tsukishima picked him up and carried him to his room. Once there, Tsukishima decided it'd be best to allow Hinata to lay in the bed instead of on the floor. He sat him down gently and brought the chair from the corner of the room over. He sat down and stared. "You've really gotta stop doing that, Tsukki. It's kinda creepy." Hinata teased.
"Shut up, shrimpy. Anyways, how are you really feeling?" Hinata took a moment to collect his thoughts "I guess I feel really bad about leaving Kageyama. He's probably confused that I'm not there...I never even told him I was leaving.." Tsukishima saw a guilt-filled face in front of him and gave Hinata a quick hug "I know, I just didn't want you to have to explain everything to him. I know you're still not ready for anyone else to know." He pulled away. Hinata gave a half smile, glad to have him there, glad to have someone to talk to "I think...I think I might want to tell him soon." Hinata said with confidence. This caused Tsukishima to straighten up "What? Are you sure? Just a few days ago you could barely stand the thought of me knowing."
Hinata thought it over again. He wanted Kageyama to know but he still didn't know if he was ready to tell him. If he told Kageyama then he could explain why he suddenly left, he could barely think of what Kageyamas face would look like the next day during school. "Maybe..I'm not ready to tell him just yet. I don't know! It's going to cause me pain whether I tell him or not! Tsukki...what do I do?" Hinata had tears blocking his view as he tried to look at Tsukishima for an answer.
Tsukishima grabbed one of Hinata's hands and held it in his own, looking to comfort him "I would do whatever would make you feel better. If you were to tell Kageyama, how would you feel?" Hinata said what was on his mind "If I told him, it would feel like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I..I do like h-him. I realize that now and I want to be closer to him. But telling him would only be a bother and he would have to take his time to worry about me. I don't want to be someone that causes him problems, Tsukki." Hinata looked down with tears flowing from his eyes. He wanted Kageyama to hold him and he wanted to stay at his house again. He just wanted Kageyama. His heart was screaming for him but he didn't know if it was the right thing to do.
Tsukishima let him cry for a bit before speaking "Think it over some more, and if you end up deciding on telling him, let me know and I'll support you as best I can, alright?" Hinata nodded and tried to sit up, only resulting in the same stinging pain. "Just stay there, what do need?" Tsukishima asked. "Can you get me my phone? I left it-" Hinata was interrupted before he could finish with Tsukishima handing him his phone. It had been in his pocket "You dropped it in the car, dumbass." Hinata made a face "Why do you have to call me a dumbass, just stick with shrimpy, isn't one nickname enough for you?" he continued "and Kageyama! Calling me 'boke' all the time, I have a name you know!" At this point he was just rambling without thought.
Tsukishima sat down and began his homework. Hinata decided he better text Kageyama, in hopes he wasn't mad.
Hinata- "Hey Kags!"
**no response**
Hinata- "I hope you're not mad at me, I'm really sorry for leaving.."
**no response**
Hinata- "I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow, I promise I'll be to practice on time :D Goodnight!!
**no response**
Hinata shut off his phone, knowing he wasn't going to get a message back, 'He hates me' the words kept repeating in his head. He could only tell himself that leaving like that was a screwup and he should've at least waited for Kageyama to return..wait- that's right. Hinata just remembered Kageyama was out getting food to surprise him. This realization only made him more upset and he cringed at his own disregard towards his friends feelings. If it were him, Hinata would be devastated to come home seeing his friend left with no trace...especially after coming back with a surprise for that person.
