Chapter 32

Hinata leaned close into Kageyamas chest, his breathing becoming more and more even as he drifted off to sleep.

He was disrupted by his shoulder being shaken. "I know you're tired and I'd really love to let you sleep...but the rest of the team is outside whispering and trying to get in. I think you should let them know you're okay." Kageyama explained.

Hinata groaned and smashed his face into Kageyama. "Do I have to..." He whined.

Kageyama chuckled. "Everyone was pretty upset after seeing the state you were in earlier. I think you should let them see you for at least a few minutes," he ruffled Hinata's hair "then we can cuddle." He added.

Begrudgingly, Hinata lifted himself up with what little strength he had left and grabbed his water. He took a few sips as Kageyama stood and stretched.

"Ready?" Kageyama asked.

"Ready."

Kageyama huffed and opened the door, knowing everyone would be overly excited and act like animals. Well, really just a few of them.

He was met with sugawara at the door, accompanied by Daichi, tsukishima, Yamaguchi, noya, Tanaka, and kenma.

"Come in." He muttered, opening the door all the day.

Sugawara walked in first and immediately went to hinata's side. "Are you alright? How do you feel?"

Hinata smiled. "I'm not doing too bad, just tired."

"Good good. I swear...if I ever see that father of yours he'll have far worse done to him than what happened to you. No, he won't even have fingers by the time I'm done with him. I'll even go as far as to chop off his-"

"Suga." Daichi put his hand on sugawara's shoulder, letting him know he needed to chill.

He gave a nervous smile and laughed. "You get the idea though, Hinata. Just know that I'm here if you need me. Oh- and just so you know, Kageyama let the others know about your father. He felt like they should know since you're a part of the team and they were all really concerned."

"That's alright, suga-san. Thank you!" Hinata weakly held out his arms for a hug.

Instead of from one person, he received a group hug from everyone except tsukishima, kenma, and Kageyama. They weren't fond of group hugs and Kageyama gets to cuddle with Hinata all he wants anyway.

"I'm glad you're alright, Shoyo. I was worried." Kenma spoke in his usual monotone, though you could hear the sincerity in his voice. A sudden pang of guilt rushed through Hinata's heart.

"Don't worry anymore, I'm all good!" He forced a smile.

"Good." Kenma smiled.

A few minutes of casual talk and reassurances later, tsukishima stayed behind while the others left.

"Mind if I speak to Hinata alone?" Tsukishima asked.

Kageyama grumbled under his breath and moved toward the door. "Must be important since you actually called him by his name..." He said while leaving.

Tsukishima huffed and made a face as Kageyama left, walking towards a chair near Hinata.

He sat down and stayed there for a few seconds without saying anything.

"Did you wanna talk about something?" Hinata asked, cocking his head to the side.

Tsukishima intertwined his fingers and leaned forward with his arms on his knees, letting out a slight chuckle. "You sure do know how to fool the others, huh shrimpy?"
