Upon hearing those those four words from the teacher, Hinata's heart skipped a beat.

He knew the possibility of his father waiting to pick him up was quite high. After all, he left without a word, not even to his mother. This was bound to happen but he pushed away the situation until now.

"U-uhm yes?" Hinata shifted his gaze to the teacher who sweetly smiled "I need you in the office, please."

Hinatas' feet felt like they were cemented to the floor after he stood. Fear and anxiety coursed its way through his every living cell. His heart only started beating faster as he glanced at tsukishima, who now had a concerned expression. Both boys knew what was likely about to happen. Hinata mentally prepared himself for the living hell he was going to go through if his father was waiting in the office.

"Hinata?" he heard sugawara question from across the gym "Are you alright, you look...lost?" Hinata tried his best to pull his lips into a smile as he stared at his worried teammate "Oh I'm alright! I probably just did something dumb, that's all. I probably failed another test" he tried his best to force out a laugh "I'll be right back." He somehow forced his grounded legs to walk as he made his way out the gym, the rest of the team staring in confusion.

Just after he served, Kageyama heard the door slide open. "Is Shoyo Hinata here?" For some reason, hearing Hinata's name be called immediately directed his attention to the voice.

"U-uhm yes?" He heard Hinata barely form words, which concerned him. This was the first time Kageyama had seen true fear in Hinata's eyes. He looked like a deer in front of headlights as he stared at the teacher, hardly able to pronounce full sentences.

He could only watch as his 'friend' walked out the door, trembling. This was very unusual behavior for Hinata, and it made Kageyamas heart ache as he worried for his crush.

Hinata stood at the door, afraid to go in and see who was waiting for him. "Go ahead in, Hinata." He heard the teacher say. His heart began beating faster than before, if even possible.

He pushed the door slowly, keeping his gaze at the floor until it was open fully. He looked up and to his relief, his mother was standing there anxiously waiting. "Mom?" Hinata's mother rushed to him and wrapped her arms around him, squeezing far too tight. "Shoyo honey, where have you been?!"

Hinata felt his eyes sting with the feeling of new tears forming "I couldn't...I couldn't handle Dad any more..." His mom pulled away and looked at him, knowing what he'd been going through for years. She felt so bad that he was the one to be hurt but whenever she tried to stand up for him, her father threatened to hurt Natsu. She didn't want to, but allowing her son to be abused was the only way to keep the rest of the family safe.

"Shoyo, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I never thought you'd leave us...I know you're hurting but..I need you back.." His mother insisted. Hinata only processed the words "I need you back". He didn't even realize why his mother wanted him back. "Mom? Is..is Natsu okay..?" His mother pursed her lips in a lie "Your father threatened to hurt her if you don't back." She said with certainty. Hinatas father would never dare lay a hand on women or small children, it was against his 'beliefs.' But so long as Hinata were there, he'd use him as a piece of relief to let his anger out.

Hinata thought, only taking in the words that claimed he was needed. He wanted to feel needed. He just didn't see how bad that way of thinking was. He let tears fall as he spoke "I can..come back. I'll come-" he was cut off by the door flying open. He looked back to see an out of breath tsukishima, panting. Tsukishima stared at the image in front of him. Hinata crying as his mother stared at him with a look of plea. "Tsukki what are y-" Hinata was cut off once more. "You're not living there."
