"Kageyama you're... You're fucking sick. And I'm tired of pretending you aren't. What happened to the dreams you had, huh? The ones you promised Shoyo you'd fulfill?"

He loomed over Kageyama by just a few inches, intimidating the one thought impossible to break.

He–Tsukishima—he...

..No longer knew how to hold himself together.

"The longer you keep this up, the longer it's going to hurt both of us. And I don't particularly enjoy being reminded of the hell I felt and saw every goddamn day because of you. Listen-"

Tsukishima huffed and dragged a hand across his face.

"You're not Shoyo and I can't take care of you the same way I did for him."

The silence between exchanged words, it was dreadful. While not many words were exactly exchanged, those that were, left an impressionable mark on the boys' hearts.

"They weren't my dreams."

"What? What are you talking about?" Tsukishima questioned.

"Earlier, you asked what happened to the dreams I had. They aren't my dreams."

Pulse pounding, blood racing, mind in jambles, Tsukishima was taken with rage.

His fists tightened.

However, he kept those hands at his sides and glared down at Kageyama's low hanging head.

"Take that shit back. If you're sitting here, trying to tell me the dreams you promised to fulfill for Hinata no longer mean jack to you, I'm done. Take your things and get the hell out of my house."

Kageyama lifted his head, arms dangling limply.

"They aren't my dreams, but my responsibility. I made that promise. I'm not backing down from it, so you can take my 'sickness' and shove it up your ass. I'm doing this for him."

Before the last word, he had walked past his companion and out the door.

Tsukishima cracked a smile. "Of course you are, King."

His smile faded as he continued talking to himself.

"Just don't kill yourself in the process."

Author's note- Hello!

I've been terrible with updating my other book but it so happens that writing comes easier with this story :)

Allow me to clear up any confusion: Kageyama became drowned in the emotions he felt after Hinata's death and couldn't bring himself to sleep, or 'waste time,' when he could be on the court making said dreams become a reality.

That little note (refer to last chapter) is what really sent him down this rabbit hole. It convinced him he could no longer waste his days by not being awake for them.

Once, quickly, learning of this new habit of avoiding sleep, tsukishima took it upon himself to keep Kageyama from doing more damage than was already done.

They were then living together in tsukishima's home.

As you could imagine, things were okay at first. Kageyama slept at least a few hours a night and didn't look quite as ghostly as before.

As you can also imagine, that only lasted about a month.

After that, Kageyama fell back into getting no sleep whatsoever and overworking his body.

This led to an argument due to his weakened state and inability to live on proudly for Hinata.

Kageyama denied his mental illness and insisted this was working well; achieving shoyo's dreams would happen faster this way.

Tsukishima wanted to knock some sense into him, but it's hard to change the mindset of a man in love.

There you have it, the plot to a possible part two.

Thinking of making a sequel 👀 However, it would take quite some time to write with my current schedule lol. And I need to work on my other book.

Ah, in due time.

On the other hand, I started seeing a therapist. Why, you may ask? Because my anxiety is so severe I had to withdraw from school and go back online. It seriously sucks ass and I wish none of you have to deal with the feeling of your own breath crushing you. Hard to explain, but yeah, that's all I've got in the description department.

Now then, sleep, my readers.

Sleep.

Unless it's daytime, though.

But if it's past 11pm then you may want to stop browsing the smut section and let your brain develop with a full night of sleep.

Happy reading ~
