Tsukishima

I started making my way outside, glad to be away from everyone else for a few minutes. The only bearable one there was Yamaguchi. I slowly climbed up the stairs with sore legs from practice, finally reaching the clubroom. When I opened the door and stepped inside I froze watching Hinata drop a bloody towel and force a shirt over his head. I didn't know what I had just walked in on but I know damn well being hit with a volleyball doesn't cause that much blood, if any at all. "Where did all that blood come from?" I demanded. Hinata grabbed the towel he had previously been using "Just from getting hit with the ball a few times" he yelled defensively while trying to get passed Tsukishima. He had blocked the door already and quickly shut and locked it before Hinata could get a chance to pass him.

I never showed how I truly felt about my teammates and those around me because of family problems I'd had in the past, but I do care about them; even shrimpy. I had caught a slight glimpse of his stomach but was unsure of what I had really seen but I had a good idea of what it was.

Hinata

NO NO NO
This can't be happening! I'd been so good with hiding them. I just need to lie my way out of this, it'll be easy...maybe. I tried to relax but my heart only started beating faster. "Let me out, please" tears had started forming in my eyes. He kept his head down staring at the floor with the bloody towel still in his hand. "Sit down" he heard Tsukishima say in a slightly softer voice than usual. He obeyed and walked to the back of the room slumping down on the floor with his back to the wall.

Tsukishima walked over to the small boy unsure of what exactly to say, he wasn't the best at communication. He sat down, cross-legged in front of Hinata. "Your stomach, I saw cuts all over your stomach and I know damn well the volleyball didn't do that." Hinata looked up knowing he wasn't going to get out of this situation without giving a reasonable explanation. "I..it's just..." he stuttered while tears started streaming down his cheeks. To his surprise, the next thing he felt were arms tightly wrapped around him. "I know it doesn't seem like it but I care about you and the rest of the team a lot" he pulled away from Hinata taking another look at him. "I'm free this weekend. Why don't you come over to my place and we can talk. If you refuse I'll have to tell Daichi about what I saw."

Hinata glanced up and saw a worried expression on Tsukishima's face. He quickly looked back down and thought for a few moments "Fine, but you can't tell anyone at all" he said in a low voice. "Deal. You'd better toss that out somewhere" he gestured to the bloody towel while standing up. "If I were you, I would get back to the gym before the others start to worry and come looking for you" he grabbed the stack of towels he'd originally gone up there for. Hinata got up and started toward the door "thank you" he said with a sad look, leaving before Tsukishima could respond.

Tsukishima stood there for a moment to process what had happened. All he could think about was how he would handle talking to shrimpy over the weekend. He didn't know how to comfort people and worried he would make Hinata's situation worse. After a few minutes of being lost in thought, he headed back to the court.
