Kenma got out slowly, surprisingly not with a game in hand. Instead, he held what looked like a laptop in a case. Kuroo gestured toward him "He says he knows what to do so I'll leave this up to him."
Despite his dislike toward the other setter, Kageyama practically sprinted toward kenma, not hiding an ounce of his worry or desire to find his partner "You can find him, right?! Please, please find him. I'm begging you!"
Kenma looked up with his usual bored expression, though he was determined to find his friend "Yeah, I can. I've got his number so I just need to do a bit of coding since I don't have the software that people like police have."
Kageyama stood stiff, thinking his next words carefully "When can you start?" His voice was full of plea and shakiness.
Kenma had never seen Kageyama show any emotions other than determination and irritability. He was curious as to why he seemed so worried about Hinata; they only ever seemed to argue and not get along other than during volleyball. Specifically, their ability to sync up and produce near-impossible quicks. "Right now. You can watch if you want...you seem worried." While kenma wasn't the person to strike up conversation, he kind of wanted to know what relationship the setter had with his friend, not that he thought of Hinata in a romantic way, he just cared for him.
Kageyama held his head down and balled his fists "I am worried. It's my fault he's gone. It's my fault he's not with me and being a dumbass like usual. It's my fault, I let him leave." Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes but he didn't dare let them fall. It wasn't his place to cry when the person he loves most is lost somewhere and possibly dead in a ditch.
Kenma kept his voice level and took a step forward. "I'm worried too. Shoyo is my best friend, but I can tell you have something special with him..." he rested a reassuring hand on Kageyamas shoulder "I'll find him. For you. And for shoyo. Wherever he is, I'm sure he's waiting for you."
Not being good with social situations, Kageyama squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head to knock himself out of the self pity. He only nodded and followed behind kenma as he took a seat on the floor against the gym.
Tsukishima decided to watch from a distance along with the rest of the team and kuroo. Everyone seemed to understand that Kageyama should be the first to know where Hinata was.
Kenma slid his laptop out to reveal a glossy red surface along with a calico cat sticker. It seemed fitting. After opening the laptop, Kageyama noticed that kenma didn't exactly have your average computer. The screen curved down at the bottom and lengthened into the keyboard, almost like some sort of a gradient. The keys weren't even keys, they were comparable to touchscreen and the letters lit up in bright white.
After a moment of clicking here and there and Kageyama not being able to comprehend what he was seeing, kenma turned the laptop to face him. It was a full screen view of miyagi and went all the way out to the edges of Northern Japan. Somewhere along the left was a strange looking arrow, marking a random place in the middle of the woods.
Kageyama glanced up, baffled, and tilted his head. "There's no way..." Upon seeing his confusion, tsukishima walked over and crouched down. "What's happening? Did you find him?"
Kenma nodded his head, not giving any words to the salty middle blocker. Kageyama spoke up "This says he's in the woods...or at least his phone is. How the hell would he be in the middle of the woods?"
Tsukishima stood and pushed up his glasses "I don't know, but were not going to find out by sitting here. Let's go. We'll need my car, I can just have kuroo drive us there."
