Hinata laid in pain, unable to move a muscle. His eyes opened slowly to be met with a bright white light that hung above him. Tall figures stood at his sides but he had no way of moving to look at them. His heart rate gradually increased as he panicked at the stinging pain throughout his limbs. Hinata darted his eyes around, hoping to get the attention of at least one person.
He could hear slight muttering around him, it was strange to be so out of it while people stand around you and freely do what they want with your body. Though Hinata was smart enough to guess where he was; a hospital or at least somewhere he was being taken care of.
He just couldn't seem to remember why or how he got injured...
Hinata relaxed a bit and let himself fall back into a state of sleep, or maybe it was just the anesthesia at work.
In any case, it didn't take long for his mind to create vivid images displaying absolutely nothing. Everything around him seemed so clear...yet there was nothing at all.
In a few short moments, Hinata realized he was being consumed by the surrounding darkness, falling deeper and deeper into the empty trench.
The feeling wasn't anything unusual. In fact, the feeling was all too familiar. Suppose it could be described as a forced pain, pleasure derived from pain. But rather than sexual pleasure, this feeling was more like relief. Because no, Hinata was not a masochist but rather a teenage boy with mental issues.
Of course! These stinging pains Hinata had been feeling weren't hurting him at all, they were giving him comfort. Similar to what he used to do not so long ago.
He eased into the fall, taking in every bit of pain he could find. It definitely hurt, it hurt like hell. But it was so addicting.
His eyes remained tightly shut until he sensed a feeling of danger. As if he would fall to his death at any moment.
In a hurried panic, Hinata darted up with wide eyes. He studied his surroundings to see white walls, sheets, chairs and an IV drip connected to his arm. Seeing this, he looked down to see his arms and both legs wrapped tightly.
He picked at the bandages for a moment trying to figure out why he was there... What had happened..? It was on the tip of his tongue yet he couldn't seem to dig out an answer.
Just as he was about to give up and try getting out of bed, the door creaked open. Whoever it was sure took their time to open a door.
Soon enough, jet black hair and piercing blue eyes peered around the corner.
"Hinata..."
"...kags.."
Kageyama walked in, closing the door behind him. He walked up to Hinata with his usual monotone look, except he was actually really happy. Tears glazed his eyes as he stood towering above Hinata.
"Kageyama..." Hinata grabbed at Kageyamas shirt, only causing him to break down.
Kageyama collapsed down to his knees with his head and arms resting on the bed beside Hinata. Neither one said a word as Kageyama tried to calm his tears.
Only a minute or so later, he collected himself and stood up, trying to focus only on the good thoughts at hand; Hinata was alright and wouldn't be going anywhere.
"Are you okay? I know those must hurt..." Hinata looked down and considered the pain he felt. It wasn't bad...it felt nice. Instead of having to cut every time he wanted to distract himself from his emotions, he could just suffer silently. Much easier than the usual way.
