The sun was setting down shinging down on the town of Morioh, Japan. The day was ending on a beautiful note but nothing and no one wanted the beauty that day had given the citizens wanted to end. A young seventeen year old boy with  walked into a grocery store and picked up a package of foodstuffs: Milk, Cheese, Vegetables, Fruits and a two liter bottle of soda. He was about to pay, but he saw a pair of earrings on sale for nearly dirt cheap. The girl at the register asked him if he wanted them and he said yes with no hesitation.

"A present for a girlfriend, Mr. Uh..."

The boy chuckles and scratches the back of his head in nervousness. "Josui. Josui Higashikata. They're for my mother. She always loves her earrings." The register gives him an odd look. "Wait, Higashikata? As in Officer Josuke Higashikata? Is your father that famous policeman?" To the register, Josui looked nothing like someone from that place. His purplish blue hair was messy, with a yellow streak hanging over his right cheek. There was something feminine about his face, much like a woman without makeup, but still looking like a seventeen year old boy. He was wearing an Indigo button-up jacket with the buttons way over on the right side, along with pants that were the same color and a belt that had a design with red and sky blue. His build was sort of feminine, but not quite. He looked nothing like the famously well known police officer, Josuke Higashikata. "Yes, that's my dad. I'm surprised that he's been doing so well. I mean, crime's been down a lot and the neighborhood's never been safer." The register chuckled, adjusted her New York Yankee's cap and said, "I was thinking about meeting him one day. Maybe I might be a police officer one day." Josui laughed. "You should. He says its a great profession."

After paying for his groceries, Josui walked away from the store and noticed a mailman. He looked lost and confused. The register ran out of the store and shouted, "Wait! Mr. Higashikata! You forgot your receipt!" Josui looked at the girl from the register as the mailman looked at him. After getting his matter sorted with the girl, she left and the mailman approached Josui.

"Josuke Higashikata? I have a package for you."

"Oh, I'm his son. I'll deliver it to him."

The mailman gave him a large envelope and walked away. Josui looks at the envelope and saw that it was from an address in Tokyo. He walked home enjoying the sunshine til the sun finally set. He came home and entered, seeing his father and his mother putting plates and food at the table. "Josui! Is that you?" Josui pulled out the earrings from the grocery bag and put them in his pocket. Josuke, his father walked out into the living room and saw Josui taking off his shoes. "Hey dad, do we know anybody from Tokyo?" He looked in confusion. "I think so. Why?" Josui gave him the envelope and replies, "The mailman gave this to me. It's from Tokyo." With some concern, Josuke took the envelope and opened it. Josui walked up the stairs of their two story house and entered his room, pulling out the earrings. He sat at his desk, pulled out a mirror and a makeup set that he hid from his father. Tying his hair back, he covered his face in foundation and began applying a face of makeup to make himself look more feminine. Josui took off his jacket to reveal that he was wearing a woman's tank top and bra underneath that he stuffed with a pair of socks. Finally, to complete the look, he pulled out a wig with brunette hair and adjusted it to his head. Looking back into the mirror, Josui smiled. She was now the girl he always wanted to be. The girl at the desk then pulled out her phone and took a picture, feeling more confident in herself, but was ended quickly by his mother knocking on the door and saying, "Josui, it's time for dinner." Josui replied in his normal voice, "Coming, mom. Still studying." After about ten minutes of cleaning up and changing back into his normal self, Josui left his room and his fantasy. Walking into the kitchen, his father looked through several pieces of paper and gasped. Sitting at the kitchen table, the color faded from his face and he pressed his hand against his head. "Josuke, what's wrong?" Asked his wife, Sara. Reading through the papers, Josuke began to panic as set down plates of spaghetti on the table. Covering his mouth, Josuke said, "I''m sorry, I..." and walked out of the kitchen and goes to the bathroom. Josui picked up the papers off the table and read them:
