The New Directions sat together, reunited in the choir room watching the original five redoing their performance of Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat from three years before. Haley heard that it was the first song the group ever performed. If you were to ask Haley, her thoughts, she would've said it was horrible.
"That was the most ghetto number I have ever seen." Santana chuckled, teasingly from her seat, as everyone clapped and cheered for the group's performance.
"Then just call me George Jefferson, because we went from the ghetto to the penthouse. National champs, baby!" Artie smiled.
Everyone's cheering and chattering lowered down as Mr. Schue wrote Goodbye on the whiteboard. He turned to look at everyone. "This week's assignment is easy. Graduation is just a few days away. There's nothing left to prepare for. Our work here is done, so there's only one thing left to do: say goodbye."
With that being said, a few sad looks and gentle smiles spread throughout the room. Haley tried her best to hold it together. She didn't know how she would make it through the week.
"Underclassmen, pick some songs to say goodbye to the seniors. Seniors, pick a song to say goodbye to us."
"A part of me wants to lock these doors and stay in here with everyone forever." Mercedes said.
"We can use the wastebasket for the toilet, and then we could eat Joe for the food, since she's been here the shortest, so we know her the least." Brittany suggested. Haley giggled softly.
"I really hope you're about to rap." Quinn commented as Mr. Schue picked a guitar up.
"No such luck." He chuckled. "I'm leading by example here. This one's for you guys."
----
Haley laughed as she walked down the hallway in a black leotard, Brittany by her side. Tina wasn't able to join, so Brittany and Burt asked Haley to stand in her place. She happily agreed.
"Do you remember when it started?" Burt asked. "When we turned a corner and started walking towards each other, rather than in the opposite direction?"
Kurt's face was a mix of pricelessness and a shocked expression. "Tell me." He finally answered, amused.
"Aw, screw that, I'm gonna show you." Burt decided. "It was in the basement of our old house. You were wearing a unitard."
"Oh, God, Dad, please don't do this..." Kurt pleaded, wide eyed.
"Sit down and accept your present. Hit it!" Burt said.
As they danced to Single Ladies, Haley couldn't help but giggle, as she spotted Sam watching from the balcony. She sent him a wink as he blushed. She turned to glance at Kurt who was embarrassed, but you could see the love in his eyes that he had for his dad.
----
"I wanted to dedicate my goodbye song to all of you." Kurt announced. "But I wanted to mostly thank the men in the room who have truly inspired me and never saw me for the things that made us different. You only saw me for the ways that we're the same. Because, in this room...It doesn't matter if you're gay, or straight... What matters is that we're friends."

Haley teared up through the song. She didn't love crying in front of many people, but she couldn't help the bittersweet moment. Kurt was like a brother to her. Sam saw her tearing up and brought her into his arms, as they continued to watch Kurt perform.
----
"Shortstack, my office now." Coach Sylvester said, as Haley was passing by.
"Oh, okay, coming Coach." Haley answered, as she walked in only to find Quinn, Brittany, and Santana there.
"Wait...what are you girls doing here?" Haley asked confused.
"Well shortstack, Quinn has a special question for you."
"Haley, you mean so much to both Santana, Brittany and I, and on our behalf, we were wondering if you would take Cheerios captain for your final year? You will coach alongside Brittany, who will be your co-captain." Quinn asked, smiling.
Haley's face grew 10 times brighter. "Of course! It would be my honour." Haley said, also sending Sue a grateful smile.
Haley moved on to engulf Santana, Brittany, and Quinn into a group hug, as they laughed and teared up. "I'm going to miss you girls so much, you don't even know. I'm grateful for you three." She whispered as they nodded.
"You're my bitches. You are my best friends, my loyal supportive and encouraging advice system from time to time. God...I don't want to see you leave, but I'm going to make all of you proud. Just like I know you will make me proud..I can't wait to see where we go in the future, in this crazy world.

Finn sent Haley a smile, before he yelled over the beat of the song as the Seniors stood ready to sing their goodbye song. "And now the seniors of McKinley High School, class of 2012, are going to sing for you. This is your glee club. Take care of it. It'll take care of you."

By the end of the song, the seniors had sat down, leaving the younger group standing up in front.
----
"Okay, seniors, the underclassmen have something they'd like to say to you." Mr. Schue announced.
"With all the dedications being thrown around McKinley this week, there was one that we wanted to make sure didn't get missed. Finn." Artie said. "Right now, you're something I never thought possible when I first rolled down these halls. You're my friend. Our friend. Even before Glee Club was kind of cool, you had our backs. You were on the football team. You were one of the most popular kids in school. You had a lot to lose, and people forget the sacrifice you made. We wanted to thank you."

Haley had asked Finn and Kurt to stay back so they could have a memorable and important goodbye.
"You know...when I first met the both of you I was only 13, almost 14. I was in a very dark place, and you Finn were being your quirky self who was a popular 15 year old. You were still willing to lend a hand as I struggled with depression, anxiety, domestic violence, abuse and eating disorders. And Kurt, you were around the same age, the most intelligent person I'd met, and who taught me my knowledge in fashion and all of that. More importantly, you saved me from killing myself. I don't think I would be here without both of you today. I wanted to just thank you both personally and privately. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm proud of both of you, you are like my brothers, whom I love with my entire heart." Haley finished, as she teared up.
Both Kurt and Finn pulled her into a hug.
"Awe, Hay we are glad we could be of some assistance through your difficult years. You've made it, and we know you are going to make us super proud this next year, and wherever your job, life and travels take you. I love you." Finn said, smirking as she laughed.
"Haley, like Finn said, we were grateful to be here for you through the adversities you endured. You are truly a survivor, and an overcomer. You are one of the strongest people I know. I hope you learn to take that strength and bravery with you as you graduate next year, and in your life out in the real world. It's scary, but I know you will be navigational. I love you so much." Kurt said as he teared up.
"Awe, oh my god, guys...I'm an emotional wreck...but I love both of you, more than you will ever know. I'm anticipating when we can meet again. Maybe next year? Only time will tell." Haley assured them, as they engulfed her in a final hug.
----
Haley stood up in the audience clapping as her friends walked up to the stage that night in their red gowns, getting their diplomas, flipping their tassels and celebrating.
"Michael Chang Junior!"
"Quinn Fabray!"
"Mercedes Jones!"
"Noah Puckerman!"
"Santana Lopez!"
"Kurt Hummel!"
"Finn Hudson!"
"Rachel Berry!"
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, William McKinley High's class of 2012!"
Everyone clapped and cheered. Haley sighed, as she cried, tears of sadness and happiness. Sam saw her getting emotional and pulled her into a hug, rocking them back and forth, as the celebration continued.
----
The New Directions stood on the train platform as Rachel said goodbye, and got onto the train. Firstly, she passed by each and everyone of the group members saying goodbye and giving them one last hug.
"Bye, Berry, I trust you will annoy the hell out of everyone in New York that you encounter, giving them your meaningless, and egotistical speeches, but more importantly, sharing your talent with the world. Go conquer New York."
"Wow, thanks Haley...I think that's the nicest thing you've said to me." Rachel giggled pulling Haley into a hug. "I will don't worry."
And off Rachel Berry went, taking the train to New York.{ROOTS BEFORE BRANCHES-SUNG BY RACHEL BERRY}

Haley stood in the empty choir room, along with Sam, Tina, Blaine, Brittany and Artie.
"Just think, it's going to be all of us in our final senior year come September." Haley said aloud.
"That's wild." Sam added.
"I think we are going to be fine." Blaine commented.
"We will bond closer as a group." Tina said.
"But god dammit, I miss the others." Artie said, sadly, as everyone nodded. Tina began to get emotional.
"Nooooo, noooo, nooo, Tina Cohen-Crazy, don't you dare begin crying. I can't take any more crying this week." Haley said, pulling her into a hug.
"It's going to be one hell of a senior year." Haley finished, as she turned the light off, and they left the choir room, and heading out the entrance of McKinley.
