(this is told from Tina's perspective)
--------
I stood in a classroom in Hogwarts, listening to kids running through corridors. It reminded me of my years at Ilvermorny; hearing the kids in the halls having fun. The image of a young girl danced across my mind as I was walking through the courtyards and two girls sat up in a tree sharing a book.
--------
I sat in the library, studying for my final exams. My Astronomy professor decided to assign us a lot of last minute homework, so we became 'ready' for his exam. Books were plopped down beside my elbow and a girl laughed."Tina, you're so studious! How do you do it?"
I looked up at the girl "You just don't pay attention, Quinn! It's very easy to be studious!"
Quinn opened her book and rested her chin on the pages, looking out through the aisles of shelves of books. Her hair was kind of dirty and her headband was slipping down her head.
"Quinn? When was the last time you washed your hair?" I asked.
Quinn swiveled her head to look at me "I don't know. Two days ago? I haven't had time."
I sighed "If I help you with your homework afterwards, will you go and wash up before dinner?"
Quinn sat up straighter "That would be nice, thank you."
I nodded and gave Quinn a look of 'Go clean up, please.' and immediately after she left, I faceplanted into my book, because I felt like I had been talking to Queenie when we were younger.
----------
Quinn and I sat in the dining hall, lost in conversation. When we were done, we walked back to the library and sat there for another three hours, just talking about the exams and homework. We ended up having to get woken up by the librarian, because we'd been in there too long.Back in the common room, we sat by the fire losing our focus on studying. We knew we should go to bed, but we knew that if we went up to bed, we'd wake everyone up, so we sat down by the fire. I hadn't exactly known what was ahead, but I was stopped mid sentence when Quinn pressed her lips to mine.
She pulled away as soon as it happened and ran out of the common room. I tried to go after her, but by the time I stood up she was out the door and by the time I was out the door, she was long gone.
----------
I stopped in the middle of a corridor as I realized I'd been walking without thinking of where I was going. Now I was lost in the middle of Hogwarts; all because I had been thinking about how my best friend had kissed me when we were fifteen.I'd told her the next day that I didn't care. We were still best friends. I started to feel awful, because I hadn't contacted Quinn in forever. I wondered if she'd even remember me. What was I thinking? She probably wouldn't remember me.
If she did, she would've written.
