The Tenth Weasley

(You are the last Weasley child, but you died when you were seven from a bad case of the measles. You spend time with the ghoul in the attic and the only person who knows about you is Ginny)

I watched from the attic, my brothers teasing each other in the garden. Fred and George had collected a jar of spiders and were chasing Ron around with it. I turned suddenly when the door to the attic opened and Ginny emerged from the tiny trapdoor.

"Afternoon, Y/N. How's your day?" she said sweetly.

I floated over next to her "Oh, you know. Same as it always is. If Mum comes up to lecture the ghoul, I hide in the drain pipe."

Ginny laughed "She misses you. I've caught her crying in the kitchen several times. She doesn't say it's about you, but I know it is."

I looked at Ginny "May I-?"

"We've talked about that. I said no. If you possess my body only for a little bit, I'll act like you would. They'd think something was up." Ginny said.

"I'm sorry. I just.... I miss them. That's all. Percy, especially." I sighed.

Ginny smiled and opened a book. I looked in a mirror and saw my translucent reflection. You wouldn't be able to tell in my ghost state, but it's fiery red, like the rest of my family.

I missed seeing Percy. He was never in the garden with the others. Ginny said he was in his room, reading. It didn't sound like the Percy I knew. When I was alive, he was bubbly and optimistic. I guess when I died, he matured.

"Y/N?" Ginny asked.

"Hmm..." I said, turning toward her.

"If you were able to come back, what would be the first thing you did?"

I looked at Ginny and contemplated her question before saying "I'd give a Percy a big hug and tell him I loved him."

I understand that this was a shorter short story, but I really like what I ended with so that's that.
