(Y/N Black is the older sister of Regulus and younger sister of Sirius)

I rolled out of bed that morning groggy and tired as I heard Sirius' hoarse, tired voice yelling in frustration at our parents.

'What will they do with that boy?' I thought to myself as I heard something smash downstairs. After I pulled on my shoes, I walked out of my attic bedroom. My parents didn't really want a girl, so the boys were given the upstairs bedrooms and they shoved me in the only space left.

I ran into Regulus on the stairs as he was coming out of the bathroom.

"Morning, Y/N." he said in a hurry, before pushing me out of the way.

I watched him slam his bedroom door shut, all while staring at his forearm. I knew exactly why he was doing that. The previous night, the Dark Lord held a meeting here to recruit Regulus as a Death Eaters.

Kreacher was dishing Sirius some breakfast with a scowl on his face when I sat down. Kreacher rushed over to give me breakfast as I did so. Sirius' face was red in anger and he clenched his spoon tightly. Father had gone off to work and Mother was nowhere to be seen.

Through a bite of my eggs, I asked Sirius "So, why are you grounded this time?"

Sirius threw spoon up into the air and slammed his hand onto the table, making the spoon magically direct itself into his bowl of porridge.

"I didn't do anything, but sneak off to spend some time with James, Y/N." he said as he wiped a droplet of porridge from his chin.

Spitting some eggs as I spoke "If I didn't know better, I'd say you and him were in love."

Sirius looked at me "Don't be silly. You already know about Re.... about me and..... her."

"Uh huh. Sure. 'her'." I said, unconvinced he wasn't about to say Remus.

Sirius looked at me "If you weren't younger than me and a girl, I would beat your ass."

I smirked at him and we ate the rest of our breakfast in silence. Mother entered the kitchen at that time, followed by Regulus; clutching his forearm and grimacing.

"Regulus, sweetie..." she said to him, sweetly but coldly "...it will hurt the first few weeks. It's basically a... what's that mudblood thing called? A tattoo."

Sirius and I sat hunched over my plate as she sat down at the table and glared at us. I didn't understand why Regulus got all the good attention and the only attention Sirius and I got were disappointed glares from our parents.

If they didn't want us, they should've just given us to an orphanage. I imagine it would be a better experience there than here.

After taking a deep, silent breath "Mother?"

She glared at me "Girls and Unwants are not to be heard at meals, or anytime!"

This was always the answer whenever Sirius or I tried asking a question.

"I was just going to say...."

"What did I say, child?" Mother said, raising her voice.

"But, mother...."

"Not another word!" she barked at me.

Her face was so close, I had to speak "Horsebreath...."

I knew I shouldn't have said what I did, but I had to. Her breath reeked. She took me by the ear and dragged me upstairs to the attic.

"You stay in there until you learn how to respect your elders!" she yelled after she closed the door "And after you cool off!" she added after she was halfway down the stairs, I noticed.

I sunk to the floor underneath my window and started to cry. I didn't understand. I never cry. I was always told that if I cried, no one would respond, so I trained myself not to.

After a while, I heard myself calling out for help.....

"Sirius! Sirius!"
