Rolf and Luna: Friendship to Romance Part 2

Rolf and Luna; reunited....

Rolf sat in the Great Hall, pushing his food around his plate. Luna was still missing and he couldn't go out and find her. Suddenly, he was harshly tapped on the shoulder by Anthony Goldstein. Anthony pointed to the back of the hall by the door.

Rolf looked and almost tripped over his seat as he scrambled up. Luna stood at the end of the hall.

Rolf sprinted toward her and threw his arms around her "I missed you."

Luna was hugging him back and he held back any tears. He didn't want to cry in front of Luna. But he missed. A lot.

"I'm glad your back."

Harry returns; we're going into battle....

Rolf sat with Luna in the Room of Requirement when they portrait opened again and Neville came back. But, this time, he wasn't alone. He stepped aside and Harry, Ron, and Hermione came out of the portrait as well.

"It's Harry!"

"Harry's back!"

"Harry!"

"Potter!"

Rolf smiled and clapped with the crowd, even though he barely knew Harry. He didn't talk to him much in third year, because he didn't need to. He didn't talk to Harry any other years, because he was a Ravenclaw and Harry a Gryffindor.

Luna took Rolf by the wrist and pushed to the front of the crowd as to hear better. Rolf stood behind Luna and Cho now. Rolf loved being tall, but being taller than most seventh years was something he was not very into.

"So, Harry. What's the plan?"

Harry looked at Neville, stunned and unsure. Then said "Um, alright. There's something hidden, here, in the castle. And we think it might help us defeat You Know Who."

Neville nodded "Great! What is it?"

"We don't know." Harry admitted quickly.

"Where is it?" Michael Corner asked from behind Rolf.

Harry sighed "We don't know that either. I realize it's not much to go on."

"That's nothing to go on." Seamus declared.

Harry turned to the Ravenclaws in the front, which partially Rolf "I think it has something to do with Ravenclaw. Um, it'd be small. Easily concealed. Got any ideas?"

Everyone was silent until Luna said "Well, there Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem."

"Bloody hell, here we go." Ron said quietly.

Luna turned the others "Lost diadem of Ravenclaw? Hasn't anyone heard of it? It's quite famous."

"Yes, but Luna, it's lost. For centuries now. There isn't person alive today who could've seen it."

"Well, I can start in the Ravenclaw common room. Who can take me?"

Cho started to step forward, but Ginny interrupted everything with "No! Luna can take Harry."

Rolf watched as Luna walked with Harry to the exit. They pulled over his infamous invisibility cloak and left.

Rolf didn't know how long he'd been fighting, all he remembered of the battle was he snuck off the back of the train to do it. He was know in the heat of a duel with Yaxley and was feeling extra confident. He was deflected everything he didn't know a countercurse for and blasted every spell he did know in the death eaters face.

Suddenly, Yaxley stopped for a second, then disapparated. Rolf ran off quickly down the hall and ran up the stairs, jumping over rumble until he was suddenly stopped in the midst of it by Luna. She stood in front of him, just inches from his face.

He didn't know what to do. He didn't have to either. Luna pulled him into a kiss. He was shocked, he didn't move. Luna backed away.

"I took a page out of Ginny's book! In case we don't make it out of this, I love you!" Luna declared.

Rolf stared at her with a smile and replied "I love you, too!"

Goodbye....

The battle was finally over and everyone was headed back to the Great Hall. Rolf was so satisfied with how it turned out, he wanted to go find Luna and make sure she was okay. When he arrived in the Great Hall, he didn't see Luna right then and there. It took a minute for him to spot her blonde hair.

With his parents.

In a cluster.

Around a body.

Rolf ran toward them quickly, wondering who was gone. When he reached his family and Luna, he was so saddened by what he saw, he dropped to his knees.

He placed his hand on his older brothers chest, leaning forward. Then, he collapsed into Gunther.

"No. Please. Please, come back. Gunther, please." Rolf pleaded through his tears.

Luna knelt down next to Rolf and rested her head on his shoulder, comforting him the best she could. Her shoulders, too, were shaking slightly. Rolf stared at his brothers face, his cocky confidence tattooed in his lifeless face forever now.
