An AU where Lupin and Tonks survive and Teddy has a little sister

Andromeda, a girl of eleven, tossed herself onto her other side that night; caught in a nightmare she couldn't break. Suddenly, she woke with a start. Unsure what she should do, she slipped into her slippers and walked down the hall to Teddy's room, poking him harshly to wake him up.

Teddy rolled over "What's up, Andi?" he whispered.

"I can't sleep." she said.

Teddy sat up in bed, rubbed his eyes, and reached over to his bedside for his glasses. After putting them on, he looked at his sister.

"Andi, did you have another nightmare?" he asked.

Andi nodded slowly. Teddy turned on his lamp, making Andi blink and flinch away from the brightness.

"Why don't you talk to Mum and Dad about them? I'm sure they'll understand them." Teddy suggested.

Andi looked at them "What d'you want me to tell them?! Hey, Mum and Dad! I've been having nightmares that you die! Come on, Teddy!"

Andi's hair was changing from her normal brown to fiery red in streaks. Teddy held up his hands.

"Alright, alright! Keep your voice down, Andi. It's the middle of the night."

Andi sighed "What if these are visions? Like the ones from Uncle Harry's stories? I was at Hogwarts in my dreams!"

Teddy pulled Andi close to him "Shh! Don't worry! I assure you these are NOT visions!"

Andi hugged Teddy back and she stayed in Teddy's room for the rest of the night. She must've fallen asleep, because she woke up tucked in nicely in Teddy's bed. Teddy was probably downstairs, so Andi slipped out of bed and walked kind of disoriented downstairs. She must've still been kind of tired, because she didn't step on the second to last step right and it became the world's most painful slip and slide.

Andi laughed as she stood up, holding her wrist slightly, because she landed on it weird trying to catch herself. Her dad went over to help her.

"Are you alright, Andi?" he asked.

Andi nodded. She walked hugged him good morning, then went into the kitchen. She poured out a bowl of cereal and was pouring the milk when she heard something and looked out the window. An owl was flying towards her with a letter in it's beak. Andi opened the window and the owl landed on the counter dropped the letter and flew out again.

Andi picked it up in one hand and dropped the milk carton, spilling it all over the kitchen floor. She jumped up once, but slipped on the puddle of milk pooling at her feet. Her hand caught the counter as her dad rounded the corner.

"Are you alright this time?" he asked.

Andi smiled and nodded, holding the letter "I'm going to Hogwarts!"

Remus smiled fondly. Andi rushed forward, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist. He returned her hug. That was when Teddy walked into the kitchen from the back door.

"Why is there a puddle of milk on the floor?" he asked.

Andi attempted to run over to show him her letter, but she ran over the milk and skidded across the floor, crashing into her brother and breaking through a kitchen cabinet. Andi sat up slowly and, after looking at the cabinet, looked up at Remus.

"Sorry, dad."

Remus waved his wand, repairing the cabinet "Not a big deal."

Teddy picked up the letter and looked at it.

Chuckling, he said "Andi, you've been so caught in the excitement, you haven't even opened it."

Andi snatched it back "I know that!"

Andi sat up cross-legged and leaned against a cabinet, then she opened the letter.

'Dear Miss Lupin,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been excepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You'll find enclosed a list of everything you'll need for the upcoming year. The Hogwarts Express leaves from Platform 9 3/4, King's Cross, London at exactly eleven o'clock on September 1st.

We are awaiting your arrival.

Andi pulled out the list excitedly;

-three sets of plain work robes (black)
-one plain pointed (black) hat
-one pair of protective gloves (dragonhide or similar)

-Standard Book of Spells; Vol. 1 by Miranda Goshawk
-Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander
-A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot
-Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffing
-A Beginners Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Ewitch
-One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore
-Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Figger
-The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble

-one wand
-one standard, size two, pewter cauldron
-one set glass or crystal phials
-one telescope
-one set brass scales

Students may bring, if they desire, an owl or cat or toad

Andi smiled excitedly. She couldn't wait to go to Hogwarts and her nightmares were completely forgotten that morning.
