Teddy rushed up the stairs and slammed the door to a bedroom. He kicked a nightstand, let out a cry, and shrank to the floor. His shoulders shook with sadness. He reached into his pocket, taking out a small photo of his parents and him as a baby. It was taken right before the Battle of Hogwarts. His mother held him in her arms, his father to her left. Baby Teddy reached up with his hand, as a way to ask to hold his father's finger.
Baby Teddy giggled with happiness, unknowing of his future. A knock sounded on the door and Remus walked in. Teddy tried his best to hide the photo, but Remus saw this.
"Is that what I assume it is?" he pointed to Teddy's hand.
Teddy stood up and handed him the photo, then; as his father examined the photo, wiped the tears out of his eyes. Remus looked up at his son.
"You never had 'this' after this point?" he held up the photo as he said this.
Teddy shook his head, then asked one thing he's wanted forever.
"Can I- can I have a hug?"
Remus smiled and wrapped his arms around his son. Future son. Teddy let tears flow out of his eyes. This was first time he can remember of hugging his father and it felt nice.
