Revenge Party

(this is an alternate universe where Tina and Leta were "friends" until Leta puts Newt under a spell because she knows Tina likes him)
(it's also a modern AU)

Tina and Queenie sat in Tina's bedroom, laughing together as Queenie read out tweets.

"Hey, Tina! Leta just tweeted something!" Queenie announced.

Tina took out her phone to see. She dropped it after seeing what Leta tweeted. Queenie turned off her phone and scooted closer.

"Hey? Are you okay, Tina?" she asked.

Tina nodded, but she was dying on the inside. Queenie nodded, too.

"I know, Tina." she rubbed her comfortingly on the shoulder.

She jumped up excitedly when the doorbell rang.

"Jacob!"

She ran down the hall and opened the door for her boyfriend, Jacob Kowalski. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him.

"I missed you!"

He hugged Queenie back "I was here yesterday."

"A day too long."

Tina sulked past them towards the kitchen. Jacob noticed her behavior and looked at Queenie.

"Four words. Go check Leta's Twitter."

Jacob did so before looking up "That's not Newt."

Queenie looked at his phone "It clearly is, Jacob."

"What's up with his eyes, then?"

Tina shoved up next him and snatched the phone away. In Newt's eyes was a glazed expression like he were a zombie. She dropped the phone when she realized what it was.

"Hey!" Jacob said as he hastily caught it as it fell.

"The Imperious Curse. She wants me to feel jealous."

Queenie gasped and ran to her room, coming back out with a notebook "It all makes sense now! Tina, here!" Queenie shoved the notebook into Tina's hands "I read some things from Leta's mind, but I wasn't sure what they meant, so I wrote them down in case it made sense later. And it does!"

Tina flipped through the notebook quickly, skimming the the information on the pages "This says that Leta never liked me, starting in third year. Queenie, how long have you been writing in this notebook?"

Queenie kicked the floor "It's not important. The important thing is, we know that Leta had this planned since you were thirteen. This is good."

Tina looked up at Queenie "What do you mean, good? She doesn't like me!"

Queenie rolled her eyes "And we can fix this whole thing! But, only if you pretend to not be bothered by this whole thing! That way, Jacob and I can help you get revenge!"

Tina walked down the street, looking up at the signs for shops when she ran into Raven, Leta's friend.

"Oh, hey, Tina! Leta sent me to find you!"

Tina stepped backward a little bit "Okay. Oh, where is Leta? I was wanting to congratulate her on her new relationship. It's a tradition to do so every time she gets a new boyfriend."
