Despair

"Look upon and despair,
Ye who sees the void,
For it was neither found, nor made
Without purpose and for naught.
Gaze, upon this final visage,
This grave for u it sleeps."

Awaited me this voice,
Deep and lilting from the void.
As I stared at the sky,
The stars naught but one.
And the night fell upon me,
But held back by one,
Fair Polaris, my Atlas,
Holding back the empty stone,
Till the sun rose bleak,
And burned away the night,
As I lived one day more,
Neath my tomb forevermore.
