Once

There once was a time,
When there lived a merry mile,
A distant house,a distant life.
Away from me stood the boy,
Who's love, left before the serene.
There never was a time,
When the people saw,
His glistening eyes,
His sparkling ties,
And then he rode on the pegasus high,
Blue eyes bound in sky.
An angel driving forth,
He left the scorn, what he never had the mirth.
And once there was a time,
When his room sat cold.
But now, it is no more.
