Man

Such starkness is the light,
That lit up the darkness of night,
From sleep to wake it sprang,
The world, a new day began,
And in the shade I sang,
This song, this legend of man.

A name he had not,
From whence he came,
No clue or thought.
With him began time,
And the rolling of tides.
And soon he named all,
And had his great fall,
Till the world returned back,
To an empty husk of black.
