Chris's POV
I watched as the love of my life plunged into the water, no longer in my grasp. "NOOOO!" I yelled out, I had to get her. I don't care if I lose my life in the process, so I jumped into the hole that she just made through the ice and swam down to try and find her. The cold hit my entire body like a brick wall but, I didn't care. I have to get to her. I continued swimming down and it got darker as I tried to feel my way. Soon, my body was getting numb so I fought through the cold like hell until I felt something. I couldn't even open my eyes due to the coldness that's on my body but, it felt like y/n's hand. So, I quickly grabbed it and swam back to the surface. I gasped for air and dragged her body from the water onto the freezing surface of ice. Her body was pale and breathless, I couldn't bare to see her like this. I tried to resuscitate her but, my body began to give out and everything went dark.

"Charging to 300. Clear!"

*Thump*

I gasp for air scanning the entire room realizing I'm in a hospital. All of my body besides my chest was covered with warming blankets, even though I was still cold. Then, everything came back to me. "Y/N! Where is she?! I need to see her." I tried to get up but, all of the doctors in the room pushed me back causing me to lay down. "Sir, you are in no condition to get up right now! I understand your concern-" "No, you do not understand my concern! My girlfriend just dropped hundreds of feet from a bridge onto ice cold water!" "We know that sir, but so did you." "Can you please let me just see her somehow? Or can someone to get me some information on her? Please!" The doctors looked at each other and sighed, "Okay sir, I will send a nurse to check on her." he signaled a nurse that was in the room to go check on y/n and I closed my eyes and asked, "When can I get up to see her?" "We're getting your body temperature up and right now it's about 95.4 degrees. When you get up to 98, we'll take you to see her. Just a few more minutes. You have a few fractures in your legs but, you're very lucky to even be alive right now." As they put a hospital gown on me, the nurse came back in the room and whispered something into the doctor's ear, I look up at them both and the doctor sighed. "Y/N is in a worse condition than we thought. She has a mild concussion from the impact of hitting the ice along with some fractures on her ribs and neck. As of right now she's in a coma. But thankfully, she's stable." Tears roll down my face and I cry out. I can't help it anymore. I'm so glad that she's alive, I just don't when she'll wake up. After a few minutes, they told me I was able to go see y/n but, I had to sit in a wheelchair. They steered me in the direction of her room and I saw her lying there, stitches on the side of her head and her hair still damp. I covered my mouth in disbelief and wheeled myself near her side. I held her hand and kissed it a couple of times and held it to my face. "I will never leave your side. Okay? I'll be with you through it all. I'll be with you when you wake up." Of course she couldn't respond but, I hope that she can hear me. The nurse that wheeled me into her room came a bit closer and said, "She just had some surgery done but, depending on when she wakes up, she should be able to heal before she gets out of the coma." "Okay. Is there some way I could be in the room with her? So, she won't be alone?" "I'm not so sure Mr. Evans-" "Please." She lightly smiles at me and says, "I'll see what I can do." then, she was about to leave the room and I asked, "Is there a phone I can use? I need to make a phone call."

I called Y/N's mother along with Krystal to tell them what happened. I let them know that she's alive and stable but, she's in a coma. They were devastated and told me that they're going to get the quickest flight over here to come see us as soon as possible. I can't believe this is happening right now, we're probably all over the news.

*One Week Later*

After about a week, Krystal and Y/N's mom came to the hospital and tried to be there with y/n for the longest they could. Her mom stayed for about 3 days but then, she had to go back home and Krystal stayed for a week due to not missing work for too long. Since I was in a good condition, they didn't put me in the same room as her so, I just came to her room everyday to talk to her and I would usually end up sleeping by her side. I feel so terrible for not being able to do something for Christmas with her, this was supposed to be the best time of the year. Even though she's not awake, I decided to get some decorations and put them around her room. After I did that, I wheeled myself back to her side and grabbed her hand, "I decorated your room bug. I know you can't see it or even be able to hear me but, I-I even got someone to get a small Christmas tree in here. I got some lights and decorated it for you......I miss you y/n. Please wake up....I need you." All of a sudden, I hear the door lightly swing open, "Chris?" It was my mom, "Hey mom." "Oh my goodness, are you okay? What happened? How's Y/N?" "Yes, I'm fine. I just have a few fractures in my legs and....we were on our way to the after party but, the streets were slippery with ice and the limo fell half way off of the bridge. Y/N's side door fell off and so did she. And....I just couldn't leave her to die. I went in after her." "Oh my God." "But we're fine and stable, she's been in a coma for a week." "Oh my goodness, poor girl. This is not how I wanted to meet you sweetie....she's beautiful." "Yeah she is." I said caressing her face. "Have you had any food to eat?" "Just hospital food, why?" "I'm going to get you something in the cafeteria then, I'm going to stop by your house and get you some regular clothes." "Mom, you don't have to do that." "But I want to hun, don't worry about it. I'll be back." Once she left, I turned to y/n and said, "My mom's here bug. She's coming back soon and I'm pretty sure she'll speak with you."

*One Month Later*

"Alright Chris, you are being discharged. But you're more than welcome to stay with Ms. Bennett if you like." "Yes, that would be great." I went into the bathroom that was in the room and changed into some clothes my mom left not too long ago. When I came back out, I sat beside y/n and fixed her hair. I don't really know how to do hair but, a nurse left me a brush and I combed it for her. I sat down and held her hand. "I'm discharged love but, I'm not gonna leave okay? I'll stay. When we get out of here, I'm gonna bring you home. I'm gonna make sure you get the best care babe-" I was suddenly cut off by the machine taking her vitals and heartbeat beeping, something was wrong. I panic and leave the room to call the nurse. They rush in and lower her bed down, "She's in V-Fib!" one of the nurses said. They took the paddles and charged her chest, her heartbeat was flat. I run to her side sobbing and said, "Y/N! Please...baby, stay with me." Another nurse in the room lightly grabs me and move me to the side and says, "You have to let us do this so, she can come back." She runs back to y/n and they charge her chest again. The heartbeat was still flat, I fell to my knees sobbing even more and I felt like my heart dropped to the floor. All I could hear was the flat heartbeat on the machine. I can't breathe, everything just went black.
