Chapter 30: Introduce Them

Hanji's POV

After awhile, we were allowed guests. Eren and the little ones all piled inside with Levi's co-workers. Apparently Nanaba had to stay back and clean after awhile before coming back. After all... she said she had to prepare a little nursery for not one- but two kids!

"He's so small..." Eren says gently, looking at my son in my arms. He even tried to poke my son's chubby cheek. "Miss Hanji, what's his name?"

Levi smiled softly, answering for me, since I was so exhausted to talk. "We haven't named them yet, Eren. Oh- be careful. Hanji's a little tired, okay? She needs a nap." With that, Levi glared at me with those silvery eyes. "Right, Hanji?"

"A-Ahh... yes... right..." All I know was that I didn't want to sleep. I wanted to hold my daughter next. I wanted to hold them tightly, knowing they were safe with me. I just wanted... one more minute with them. How did I not know I was going to have twins with me?

"Oi, oi Hanji." Opening my eyes, I saw Levi standing over me with our son in his arms. "You're muttering in your sleep again. Do you really think I would leave you, Hanji? Please, don't think like that way."

"I didn't-"

"We have twins, Hanji- twins... do you really think that I would leave you? Never in a million years. Please... don't think that I would ever leave you..."

I smiled softly... nearly tearing up. "Thank you... Levi..." He then hands me the son in his arms, smiling softly. "Hi there..." I whispered, kissing the baby's forehead. "Your mommy's awake now..."

Levi chuckled, leaning his chin on my shoulder. "So... we should name them, shouldn't we?" He whispers softly, looking down at our son. "Look- his eyes... they're just like mine, huh? Gray."

"How about we name him... Zane? I mean, I don't have any specifics but... yeah, how about Zane? Er... I was going to say, Kenny. But maybe... Keith?"

With a beautiful laugh, Levi gave me such a curious look. "Keith's my boss. What's with all these names, Hanji? Oh well... as long as it's not Kenny. Let's name him that then- Zane Keith Zoe...Ackerman. How's that?"

"Y-You want to use your last name as well?"

"Why not?" Levi chuckled with eyes glistening. "You wouldn't want to have my last name as well?"

Did he mean... no- he spoiled it! I should've been angry that he spoiled it to me! Yet I smiled and couldn't hide my excitement. "Levi..." Was all I could say behind my wall of smiles and pride.

He just smiled, reaching for our daughter. "Sorry, but since we're not married yet, I wanted the kids to have my last name on their certificate. Of course, it'll be weird, but me marrying you is right around the corner. I'm just sorry I couldn't do it while you were pregnant."

"Please," I whispered, holding Zane close to my chest, "don't be sorry..."

We carried on to name our daughter- which we immediately said yes to. "Raven Kuchel Zoe Ackerman."

"Oh my god- Big Bro!" Isabel smiled heartfully, holding onto our daughter. "Levi, she's so adorable! What's her name again? Raven? Aw... it matches her... wait, what was her middle name? Kuchel? Where did that come from?"

Levi looked a little nervous, but finally confessed. "It was my mother's name."

"Oh... well... I hope your mother is proud to have a granddaughter with her name." 

Farlan chuckled as he helped the other kids from the orphanage look at Zane for awhile. Eren was the one who tried to hold Zane without anyone knowing. Thankfully Farlan has reflexes of a cat. He ensured Eren was careful with Farlan.
