Levi's POV
"Levi- I will be fine!" Hanji yelled at me, practically pushing my uniform onto me. "Go to work! People need you much more than I need you!" I couldn't say anything, just following some orders of a pregnant woman. "I better not see you until you're done with work."
With any protests, I was quickly turned down. That was the reality of the crazy Hanji Zoe I was fated to have a family with- and possibly even marry her. No, that's not right. I will marry her. I will make sure I'll keep her within my heart... and I won't let her leave me... because I'll do everything right.
"God, Hanji..." I shook my head, texting her every 15 minutes. She actually cursed at me for not focusing on my job as I texted her. From 15 minutes to 30 minutes- Hanji wished for me to check on her every 2 hours. "Why are you so crazy...?"
"Yo- Levi!" Quickly, I turned off my phone and turned my attention to him. "Surprised to see you here without you itching the need to check on Hanji. Things going alright?"
"No, it's not going alright." Another heavy sigh. "Hanji practically kicked me out of the orphanage for me to go to work. She's unsupervised- other than the kids staying home today. And Rebel- don't get me started on Rebel."
Farlan chuckled, giving me my black tea. "Oh well- she's... how far along with the pregnancy? 8 months?"
"Erm... she's about 35 weeks or so." I smiled, thinking about it. I'm close to being a father... "Then when she's closer to 9 months, I'll start taking time off. That I promise- despite Hanji begging me to work."
Isabel slid her chair over to me, smiling brightly. "Speaking of the baby, Levi, do you think your girlfriend would mind if I buy her some gifts for the baby plus the orph- I mean, kids." For some reason, the way she said girlfriend made it sound like that's all Hanji would ever be to me. And I'm happy she didn't call the rest of the kids orphans- though she was close to saying it.
Responding, I nodded my head. "I don't think she'll mind, but I'll talk to her about it when I get back to her tonight."
Buzz, buzz, buzz...
"Who is it?" Isabel leaned towards my phone, all surprised and grinned. "Is it her?"
I picked it up, chuckling slightly. "Of course it's her. Now if you excuse me-"
Leaving towards the most secluded place in the station, I answered it with the usual, "hello" until it was interrupted with Eren's voice. "B-Big Bro... something's happening with Miss Hanji..."
"What's happening with her?" Then I heard her screaming with agony. "Eren, what's going on?!"
"S-She said something about water breaking- but I couldn't find any water anywhere!"
"Eren, I'm on my way. Stay put. Call Nanaba, okay? I'll be there right away." Eren only replied with a saddened, "okay" before hanging up. Instantly, I darted out the station and into one of the police cars. Of course, I called the ambulance to that address.
Was it really time...? How was it possible? It shouldn't be time- it shouldn't be time!
