Chapter 12:

I woke up because of the sunlight that is hitting my face. When I opened my eyes, I saw someone sleeping beside me; my heart pound when I saw her peacefully sleeping face on my chest while her arms are on my body.

I remembered what happened hours ago.

I remembered how something almost happened between us.

I remembered that the only thing that stopped me is because I'm too drunk for my manhood to be hardened.

I was so scared the moment I realize that... if ever something happened between us, who knows what will happen to our relationship? Fuck it, alcohol really did great in your life sometimes, huh?

I hugged Lily tighter as I kissed her temple. The fear of losing her almost made me tremble that I hugged her tight to get some support. It feels like I'm getting weaker and weaker every time I imagined our relationship being too close to be destroyed just because something happened between us.

No, Lily. I'm not going to have sex with you yet if it means losing you. Not now—just... not yet.

Seconds of hugging her tighter, she moved. Slowly, she opened her eyes, and it met mine. She smiled sweetly at me.

"Good morning," she greeted.

I kissed her forehead. "Good morning."

She chuckled. "Lasing na lasing ka kagabi."

Bahagya siyang bumangon na siya namang ginaya ko. The clothes that she's wearing were torn apart and I perfectly know why. Her brassiere is slightly showing; if not because of the blanket, I'd really see it completely.

Damn it. Ang aga-aga na namang nag-iisip ng kung anu-ano ng isip ko.

"Yeah," I laughed. "That's how I usually spend my Christmas," I smiled at her. "Merry Christmas."

She pursed her lips before she smiled. "Merry Christmas," she leaned forward to plant a kiss on my lips. "You're not going to spend your holidays like that. I'll always be with you, from now on."

I smiled, nodding, before I cupped her face and kissed her passionately. She kissed back as I felt her arms wrapped around my nape, and we spend our Christmas morning, making out while laughing.

It was the best Christmas morning I have, so far.

We decided to make our breakfast together in the kitchen. Habang nagluluto kaming dalawa, nag-ring ang cellphone ko. Kinuha ko 'yon sa dining table at nakita kong tumatawag si Jin sa group chat naming apat na magkakaibigan. Napangiti ako bago 'yon sinagot; bumungad sa akin ang mukha naming apat sa screen.

"Oh?"

"Merry Christmas, 'tol!" sabay-sabay nilang bati.

Natawa na lang ako sa kanila. "Merry Christmas sa inyo!"

"Pupunta kami mamaya d'yan!" sabi ni Connor. "Mga before dinner."

"Oo nga! Para kahit man lang dinner, may kasabay ka. Pasensiya na, 'tol, kailangan ako ni Mom," paliwanag ni Jin.

"Ako rin. Sorry, pare. Taon- taon ka na lang nagpa-pasko at bagong taon nang mag-isa. Sabi sa 'yo, sumama ka na lang sa amin, eh," sabi ni Terrence bago uminom ng sa tasa niya.

I laughed with their explanations. "Okay lang ako. Masayang-masaya ako rito. Baka nga pasko ko pa ang pinakamasaya sa ating apat eh."

Kumunot ang noo nilang tatlo sa sinabi ko. Ilang sandali pa, nagsalita si Connor. "May kasama ka d'yan? Nand'yan Mommy mo?"
